Worst experience of Honduras! Despite the expensive entrance fees we decided to visit anyway. No brochure or any explanation on where to go. The guide must have been asleep because we were well inside the cave before she reached us, only worried to check that we had paid for the tickets. We are not fluent in Spanish, but the guide made absolutely no effort in speaking slowly or trying to explain things. The cemetery was not accessible so we couldn't see any of that. After existing the caves, the guide said that the museum was closed too despite being 3.30 pm and the park was closing at 5 pm. So we decided to go for a walk around the area, considering that we were charged an extra 150L for the privilege, and we found rubbish and more rubbish everywhere. It would be such a beautiful place if the people working there had a bit of pride and wouldn't be so lazy. Sack everyone and employ people who are going to look after this...

The caves have some interesting formations and we had a pleasant visit HOWEVER a guide attached himself to us despite an obvious language barrier & our resistance, then when we went to view the river by the car park we had to step over the trash left by previous visitors. The river would have been a picturesque addition but left us feeling dismayed. You have to pay to enter, it's a shame it's not...

We were unable to actually go inside the cave past the locked gates because the archeologist had it Closed but the internet stated it was open. We drove hours to get here and we had a guide hired.... We will try again another day. There were workers there building handrails and new paths and steps. Beautiful...

A mí me encantó, volveré pronto.
