First time ziplining for my kids 11, 9 & 6. First time for me ziplining in Roatan, although I have ziplined in numerous other countries before as it is one of mine & my husband's favorite activites. This was the 1st time I experienced bicycle helmets and no gloves being worn. No big deal as they assured me they would be stopping us & they did! The guides were fabulous. They let my older kids go together on the 3 longer lines & me & my son went together. Once we all got the hang of the 1st three & the kiddos were comfortable, everyone went solo. The kids really let loose. The guides showed the kids how to go upside down, as I had talked about it they wanted to do it & they did! We all really had a great time. At the end the kids wanted to go see the monkies in the cages. One of the nearly 5 or 6 guys not doing anything, asked the monkey guy if he could take us to see the monkies. He said one of the monkey's was sick & nobody could see them today or get too close, "just to be safe." I get it he was lazy & didn't want to get up & do his job as we were the last group to come through. Little did he know the group before that had just got back told us all about going into the monkey cage & petting the monkies. We were disappointed, but it is all good, it was just a bonus of the zipline facility anyway & an additional tip he missed out on for the day. He was not on of our guides on the zipline. Read moreThe zip lining was a nice experience. However, the photographers that the company hires to take your picture while zip lining are thieves. My friend and I ordered the photos which we never got. They showed us the photos on a laptop computer and promised to email them to us. The reason we were told we couldn't get them then was because we did not have Wi-Fi service. Of course this did not make sense, but we went along with their excuse. However, when we got home they would be there. We paid them $25 for the pictures which we still to this day have not received. We were there May 10, 2017. I tried to rectify the problem by sending 3 emails directly to the photographer but he never answered. I sent several emails to the company which answered my first email stating they would take care of it. Nothing happened nor have they responded to anymore emails. DO NOT BUY THE PHOTOS....
Read more1 star review due to the fact that on the first zip line of the day, instructor lost control of the rope that slows you down before you reach the end of the track. He lost control of the rope/ completely let go and me and my bf did not slow down. I was turned around and slammed into the end of the course. Squarely on my back, staff showed little to know sympathy unfortunately the only way to end this experience was to continue through the course. I notified numerous staff members i was hurt and sore and didn’t feel like I could continue. This experience also made it so I was unable to finish our other excursion of the day as well as my other planned for the following Thursday. Bc of this course I missed out on numerous experiences that had been planned for our vacation and have not recovered. I do not want this to happen to...
