This is not the season to enjoy Waterfall however we decided to do a trekking at this place and what a experience we had. Great time spent. Nature at it best. I have visited this place in different weather throughout last year and experianced same excitement and fun each and every time. One of my favorite place very near to Mumbai i.e. 95 KM from Dadar by Road and/or 90 minutes train journey from Dadar. Please remember you have to carry enough food and water before coming to this place since no facility available at this place. You can take share Auto Rickshaw from Neral Railway station with cost of Rs. 20 per seat or for private Auto Rickshaw charges will be Rs. 120 for maximum 4 to 5 persons. This place is just 3 KM away from Neral Railway station on the way to Matheran. Highly recommended to visit during monsoon but still very much sutiable to visit throughout the year.

Nothing Unique, I dont think I would have missed anything had I not visited this place. This place is not for YOU if - You want to visit it for temple, shrine, sculpture any man made beuty. - you want a leaisure trip. - you need to carry lots of luggage with you This place is definitely for you if - You want to enjoy raw nature - you love to spend time in nature - you have enough time to explore - you enjoy walking a lot in greenery. - you have a great company of your friends and/or family Matheran is echo sensitive area, you are not allowed to ride you vehicles after certain point. Once you park your vehicles you can either walk on your own, or ride on horse or a hand pulled rikshaw. Apparently charges for ride are too much (approx 100-200Rs per KM as of Sept 2019) You can find lots of resorts in matheran. You can ride a toy train (if its functional, many a times serives is stopped during rain or for maintenance). I found two places a must to visit here Luisa point, charlotte late - Luisa point - You get to see a beutiful panoramic view , lots of waterfalls during monsoon. - Charlotte lake - during monsoon this is a nice place where you can enjoy the water

Reversing Point in Matheran offers a breathtaking panorama of the Western Ghats, making it a standout attraction in this hill station. Located at an altitude of 2,640 feet, it provides a stunning vantage point to witness the sweeping valley views and the picturesque sunset. The spot derives its name from the echo phenomenon where sounds echo back from the valley, adding to its allure. Visitors can trek through lush greenery to reach this viewpoint, adding a sense of adventure to the mesmerizing natural beauty. Reversing Point is a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers seeking unparalleled vistas in Matheran.

Matheran is a beautiful place to visit during rainy season...it's a scenic place and there are no vehicles allowed after a certain point..which means no pollution..you can trek or you can take the toy train or you can ride the horse...these are the 3 means to reach the top...once you reach the top..then there are about 12 points to visit..this can again be done by riding a horse or by walk...these places are worth a visit...you can walk with a group of friends...buy the Rs.25 raincoat and Rs.30 hat..which is enough to protect you from rain...if you are looking for a hotel..I would suggest hotel Kumar plazza!

Must go place for outing near pune, having lots of view point with tremendous view of valley and nature, during monsoon season this place is like heaven.we have to walk to see all view points approx 10km walk but you have option to go all points via horse and also mini train is there. You will have plethora of staying places, you can either book online or can directly book while visiting the place.Be cautious of driving from matheran ghat that is really steep and need expert driver lot of peoples got stuck in between while heading to top of matheran. Best time to visit monsoon and winter season.

Went there on Thursday thinking it won't be crowded but still found lots of people enjoying so it tells u about the popularity of the fall, Definitely a worth visit , water is so fresh and from this point to the matheran parking u will come across number of eye catching serene falls .try to reach around 12pm or so one can enjoy the most there Pl don't litter if u can carry 1 liter of plastic to the spot u can always carry 1g of empty plastic bottle back and dump it properly in the dust bin. Let nature be fre of all that garbage let's preserve it for future generations
