Frankly I'm quite disappointed I love going and seeing the birds and the animals but the state of the foxes that they have there in the lack of care proper amount of room and food that are given to them animals has affected their health tremendously when they first had the foxes the red fox was a wild caught Fox and was scared and still healthy looking the little black and silver fox was so beautiful and always running around wagging its tail and whining wanting to play when they had that gate area open I did walk back there and I actually played with the little black and silver fox which makes me believe it was a surrender or a removal from somebody owning it as a pet after it being there for a year now it's health has dramatically declined the red fox looks like it has contracted mange causing the hair loss in the poor thing looks homely along with the black Fox the pictures and videos I have prior of both boxes are dramatic and I don't believe they have any reason to have them animals with the lack of care and attention that they truly receive that is why the deers were removed from their care and a beautiful as that Bobcat is that they just captured for whatever reason they're supposed to rehabilitate them animals and release them but they choose to keep them there where they do not have the proper room the foxes will never fill grass on their feet they are on concrete slabs with very minimal space I'm afraid to see what's going to happen to the bobcat I'm sure it's going to decline and wait and it's healthy looking appearance by next summer I am all for rehabilitating and helping animals but they have continuously showed such a lack of care for these animals simply as a...

I love coming here with my child. I also love coming here with my dog. Being coming to hueston woods my whole life, it is one of my favorite places to come to to get away from things and life. I would recommend coming here with your family and pets! Beaches are semi-clean, a good place to just sit somewhere and reflect and watch the water! Ready to come back here as soon as possible with the whole family. Camping in the camp ground is also fun and super cheap, everyone is very homey and welcoming for the most, just also a great get away for everyone as well. Outhouses are located all over the woods, there is an amazing just redone Animal house where you can look at live different animals from the area, great learning and fun...

The nature center is so awesome. If your hot and need a bit of cooling off, swing on in and look what is in side while you cool down. Bee hive that's so amazing, snakes, turtles and stuffed animals. Make sure to look up and on the walls, there's alot of hidden creatures to find. Then when your ready to leave, take a stroll to the back of the center to see all the live animals that can never be released back into the wild. Also if you can help take care of the animals by leaving a donation in the little boxes around the center. Every bit helps. We'll enjoy your camping trip, or just your visit to the center which is free to...

It's my favorite place to go in this area... And it doesn't really cost very much to do so. Just a snack or you can even bring charcoal and stuff to make dinner as well but I usually bring drinks in a cooler and some snacks for the kids and we swim take nature hikes walk along the creek and we have found shark teeth and fossils Galore!! My daughter even caught a couple of minnows and a tadpole and a Frog... We just love it!! I would recommend it to anyone that loves nature in the outdoors...
