If you want a truly unique insight into the world of family driven local hungarian wine production, visit Zsolt Söptei.

We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon, expecting only to taste a couple of wines. But instead of a quick taste-and-go, this entusiastic wine maker took us through the whole story of his family’s wine legacy, gave us the full tour of the production facility, while serving samples, not only from the bottle but also directly from the cellar tanks.

The wines are outright great. Our favorite probably the white blend ‘Harmonia’, a multi vintage taste bomb, that will make any great summer day even better!

So, if you are in Hungary - e.g. in Budapest - and want to take a day trip to the country side - swing by Zsolts winery. You will not...

Superb experience! We’ve done other wine tours before, but this one is definitely the best! Highly recommend!

We drove from Budapest to do some sightseeing outside of the city. Stopped by at this winery and got greeted by the kind owner and had a few glasses and a wonderful tour of the place.

The tour was only available in German or Hungarian, but we got pretty far with our forgotten high-school German.

Will definitely come back...

Egyszerűen fantasztikus élmény volt! Ritka az olyan hely, ahol nemcsak kiváló borokat kóstolhat az ember, hanem valódi lelket is kap melléjük. Zsolt leült hozzánk, mesélt a borokról, a pincéről, a múltjukról – és ettől az egész élmény teljesen más dimenzióba került. Nemcsak egy kóstoló volt, hanem egy történetmesélés, egy utazás, amit a borokon keresztül élhettünk át. Az ilyen pillanatok tényleg különlegesek, és sajnos manapság ritkák is. A Balaton környéke mindig csodálatos, de a Söptei Pincészet ezt még emelte egy szinttel. Mindenkinek csak ajánlani tudom, aki a környéken jár – ne hagyja ki! Ráadásul az étterem is kiváló, érdemes ott is időt szánni egy ebédre vagy vacsorára. :) Csúcs szuper élmény volt...
