Arboretum of Gödöllő — Attraction in Gödöllő Regional Unit

To enter from Isaszegi út in Gödöllő, follow the sign "Kisvasút" on Isaszegi út.

I would call it a badly maintained park/piece of forest separated by a fence. On the weekends the entry is by payment 1000 Ft adult (not clear which are the services provided though). It used to be lovely in the past. Many trees dried off, the paths are in bad conditions, no signposting at all !!! Plants are generally not marked. If you want to visit an Arboretum, choose the Vácrátót.

There is a little train (Kisvasút) starting from the territory, and no information is available about it at the entrance - you have to walk all the way up there first (or call by phone for info).

After the closing time the gate stays a bit open for letting out those already in, the guy said they will start closing it for the night as...

A place to go if you are after a long walk and fresh air.

The park itself is nice and calm. Finding the entrance and navigating inside was hard because very little signs are installed and are only in Hungarian.

While following the path from the main entrance we asked many people if that path can lead back to entrance and most of them didn't know. Actually the majority just turned back instead of going forward.

There is a nice playground but not much a child can do, collect, and see while walking through the path.

Some electric fence around empty pieces of land are bizarre and also some metal fences on the sides of the path exist.

I like the little mushroom and honey shops at entrance.

Inner train: short straight line trip, not...

Ismét október végén mikor már gyönyörű színekben pompázott az erdő,tettünk egy fotózással egybekötött sétát, kirándulást a gödöllői erdészet területén. A természet által alkotott csodálatos színekben pompázott már minden bokor ,apró kis csodákat láttunk....a fa tövében gombák telepedtek meg ,csak nyitott szemmel kellett járni ebben a csodálatos környezetben . Aznap nem volt belépő hanem adomány gyűjtés volt és úgy határozták meg a belépést ,mindenki a belátása szerint tegyen adományt a gyűjtőládába. Ha családi kirándulást tervezünk a legkisebbeknek a játszótér remek kikapcsolódást nyújt.Ha pedig vonatkozni van kedvünk a kisvasúttal ezt is megtehetjük . Sajnos egy szomorú tettnek is szemtanúja voltam ..egy fiatal pár sétált kéz a kézben ,mikor a fiú tagja egy ágat a kezébe vett és a fa törzsén növekedett taplógombát leverte, szétverte, megsemmisítette,....vajon miért?Nem értem miért megy az erdőbe ha rongálni van kedve ...miért nem bokszolni megy inkább ???!! Vajon ilyen nevelést kapott? A barátnőjével is így bánik?......és más sok sok kérdésre nem fogunk választ kapni,hogy az ismeretlen srác ezt miért tette?!Sajnos már csak az agyonvert gombát tudtam megörökíteni . Vegyes érzésekkel távoztunk. Mindezek ellenére szívesen ajánlom mindenkinek aki színes fákat,leveleket,apró csodákat szeretne látni...
