A felújított zsinagóga mellett található Magyarország első vidéki állandó Holokauszt kiállítása, amely 2004. június 27-én nyitotta meg kapuit az épületben. Kicsi emlékhely, de annál erőteljesebben és szívbe markolóan mutatja be a gyermek áldozatok emlékét. A város 737 zsidó polgárát hurcolták el és a kutatások 470 vásárhelyi zsidó mártírt tartanak számon, akiknek a negyede 24 évesnél fiatalabb volt. Rövid kisfilmet is levetítenek Szabó Magda tanári visszaemlékezéseiből, aki próbált EMBER maradni a legnagyobb embertelenségben. Mi nem is ismertük korábban az írónő történeteit. Ránk nagyon nagy hatással volt a múzeum, bár már sok hasonló emlékhelyen jártunk a világban.
