Kellemes séták tehetők a környéken több turistaúton, melyek jól jelöltek.
Szépek a felhagyott murvabánya esőmosta formái, a Festecsics kilátóból a kilátás. Könnyen járható terep, de a Festecsics kilátótól lefelé nem árt a stabil cipő. A Nagymezőről lehet indulni a Pad-kű-re is, de az egy kaptatósabb kb. 5,5 km-es odaút. A murvabánya a sárga +-en érhető el. Mi azon haladtunk most délnek a falu felé, majd onnan a házak között a sárga - , majd a kék -, majd a kék háromszögön a Festecsics kilátóig. Utóbbi két jelzés már erdei úton vezet. Ez a kör csak 3 km.
A Berzsenyi kilátót lezárták, ezt sajnos a Nagymezőn nem jelölte semmi. Csalódás lehet annak, aki ezt veszi célba, és innen indulna.
