First and foremost, this is a waterpark with a camping area connected for camping vans, RV's, and setting up tents. There aren't any rooms or services as such.
I've only been to the water park area. They have a small kiddie pool, a larger pool with a lazy river and a water slide, a hot springs pool with massages offered, a lane pool for sports swimming, an extra large children's pool with a climable tower and multiple waterslides, and lastly their huge pool with a bit of everything (a kids area, water fountains, waterfalls, 3 huge waterslides, a poolside bar, and so on).
They also have shopping near the entrance for food, clothes, toys and such. There is a large cafeteria for lunch/dinner with a drink bar, next to it, an ice cream shop, and attached bathrooms/showers/lockers.
They have 4 other places to grab some food, by the thermal pool they have burgers and fried chicken steaks, by the lazy river pool they have Langos (a fried flat bread with toppings) and pizza, by the entrance they offer icecream and some other stuff, and at the big pool in the back the pool bar offers drinks and snacks as well.
Most people show up with picnic blankets, small shade tents, and whatever else they want to bring. They don't restrict outside food or drink, but there's no grilling area. Very much bring your own stuff, though they do rent lounge chairs by the entrance if you ask.
On a hot, sunny day, the place gets packed! So expect crowds, especially on weekends and holidays. The pools are large, so you can usually still enjoy swimming, but the food stalls get overloaded. Also, most people don't speak English, so when talking with the staff, just try to be patient. There are usually one or two staff members who can speak well enough to understand if you speak calmly and clearly. Please don't yell at them.
My family has gone here several times now, and it's become our favorite weekend destination during the summer with our son. It's beautiful, clean, and fun. The staff have always been nice, and it's a great place to...

Sector A of the camping is consisting of quite some pitches in shadow. However, most of the pitches were quite muddy when we visited. We also noticed that access to electricity was hard to arrange unless you had a long cable. Sector B of the camping was from our point of view much nicer with grass covered plots with easy access to electricity. There was however no access to shadow, if you prefer that.
The camping offers nice play grounds for the kids which were well maintained.
Regarding facilities, the toilets and showers were clean and well maintained. It was also nice that they had garbage bins distributed throughout the camping so you did not have to walk far with your trash. On the negative side, the only had two wash stations for your dishes which created quite some ques during breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The thermal bath
There is a lot of green areas where you can spend the day which is positive. The pools are then quite ok but the kids (11 and 13 years old) got tired of them only after one day. On the negative side, the following was noticed:
Some of the pools were quite dirty.
Females were not allowed to go on one of the water slides, due to safety reasons according to the staff. We questioned this quite heavily with the staff and management but were not able to convince them that this was discrimination. They stated that the owner of the bath had decided this. We could however not find anything mentioned about this on their website or elsewhere.
Some of the bath life gards were not acting professionally. Two of the life gards were making out when on duty. In another occasion, the two life gards on duty were more interested of their cell phones then...
Read moreWe stopped here for one night on a month long driving tour of Europe. It was a planned visit but did not require advanced booking. This worried me initially but there was plenty of space. ||We found a quiet pitch away from the kids and they were all a good size (took out 3m by 4m tent and car with room to spare). Showers were reasonable (I've seen better but certainly seen worse) with extensive bathrooms and washing facilities. Washing up was double sinks and we used the washing machine which was efficient and cheap (300 HUF which is about 90p). It is excellent value with free unlimited entry to the thermal baths which we thoroughly enjoyed. I can see why this is an excellent place for a family holiday with small children. ||The lady at reception was incredibly helpful and spoke good English. She arranged for us to stay longer on our second day to enjoy the baths. ||Only snag - power is not Standard EU and whilst we didn't have one we noticed that some others...
