Short drive from Pécs to the tower, the road signs aren't the clearest but with Google's help we made it there. Very quiet there in winter so plenty of parking. You have to pay to go up the tower in a tiny creaky lift but there is a good view for 360° around. It was very windy and -4° C and extremely uncomfortable on the open viewing deck. We only stayed for a few minutes then went down one floor to the restaurant where we could warm up and have some hot coffees and other refreshments and...

This was fun! It's a bit filled with communist-era feelings (the parking place, the broken up beton everywhere, that stupid little lift, the separate kiosk building where you buy the tickets). Also, they don't seem to be big on emergency situations: the stairs are closed with locks at all times, so let's trust there will never be a fire up top.
