Gere Tamás Pincészete Diófa Panzió — Attraction in Siklósi járás

We've absolutely loved it. Very cozy. The wines were really great quality. The staff was super nice.

The decoration and the whole theme with grape and wine, even the shower gel and hand soap was grape scented.

The only small negative I can think of, was the old AC unit in the room was struggling a bit in the 37 °C heat, managed to keep the room 24-25 °C, but could not get any lower.

Maybe a few suggestion for future improvements: more vegetarian friendly options at breakfast and on the menu, don't need anything superfancy, just that those who don't eat meat can choose around as well few bottles of water in the room would have been nice in the absence of a minibar - I know bottles of sparkling water were available downstairs in the fridge, but after all the wine you consumed, went upstairs, took a shower, got to bed, etc.. you really don't want to make that trip

Really dissapointing. I love this winery and the girl who served us just didn't care. We payed for the 6 wine tasting and she served us ends of the bottle and when we mentioned it was old or off she didn't seem to care. I don't blame her. She didn't have any pride in her job and that's on the owners. Such an amazing wine region, such an amazing winery and just really pathetic service and wine. I came here with my friends, who are business owners in budapest, and we were embarrassed at the effort. We had previously been to other wineries in the town that were exceptional so it was a shame for this large wine maker to be so bad. I'm not sure I'll be back again and I'll def think twice before buying wine from this wine maker in the future based on...

A legutóbbi villányi látogatásunkkor a Gere családhoz tartozó, családias hangulatú Diófa panzióra esett a választásunk.

A szállás központi helyen van, közel minden olyan pincészethez, amiket sosem hagynánk ki, ha erre járunk, így a pincesor végiglátogatása után már csak pár lépés beesni az ágyba. Az udvaron kap helyet az ingyenes parkoló, illetve 2 db elektromos töltő is.

A személyzet nagyon kedves, és mivel korai érkezésünkkor még nem volt kész a szobánk, azonnal egy welcome drinkkel kedveskedett, csak hogy jól induljon a nap. Ezt műszakváltáskor is megismételték biztos, ami biztos alapon 😎

Hangulatos kerthelyiségükben valóban egy hatalmas diófa ad árnyékot - tökéletes hely egy kis baráti borozgatáshoz, beszélgetéshez. A szálláshoz tartozik még a nemrég átadott Diófa bisztró is, ahol vidékies ételeket kóstolhatunk, illetve a bőséges (kérésre glutén- és laktózmentes) svédasztalos reggeli is itt kap helyet. A @geretamaseszsoltpinceszete -ben bármikor kérhetünk borkóstolót, ahol végigkóstolhatjuk Gere Tamás, és fia Zsolt borait. Érdemes bejelentkezni egy pincelátogatásra, vagy megnézhetjük a palackozó üzemüket is. Késő este pedig becsületkasszás rendszer működik, ha lefekvés előtt még innánk egy jó-éjt bort.

Az épületben konferenciaterem is található, így előadásokra, így csapatépítő tréningekre is jó választás.

A szobák jól felszereltek, az ágy pedig nagyon kényelmes. Figyelnek a részletekre: a szobában még a kép is Gere parafadugókat ábrázol 😂 Külön kiemelném a szuper blackout sötétítést, amiről minden elmond, hogy fél 10ig tudtam aludni.
