Stunning view of the top of Badacsony! Make sure you're fit to climb up on the stairs and steeps. Takes approximately 20 minutes (first part) hard part, the rest (another 20 minutes) is fine. Make sure you have some water or drink with you as no options in the forest. Once you're up on the tower (Viewpoint) you feel you've got paid for your challenge /effort to get there.

A kilátó 2011-ben épült 437 méteres magasságban, szerencsére kifogástalan àllapotban van. Maga a kilátó kb. 18 méter magas, csigalépcső vezet fel a tetejére, közötte 2-3 szinttel a pihenésre. A lépcső és a padló szerkezet is lyukacsos fém rácsből készült, így, aki tériszonyos annak kellemetlen lehet a fel és lemenetel. A környéken a fák olyan magasra nőttek, hogy csak a legfelső szintről làtható a panoráma. A Balatont és a mögötte elhúzódó domborzat gyönyörűen belátható (a fák lombozata miatt késő tavasztól késő télig Keszthely fele nem lehet ellátni).

A kilátóhoz nem nehéz eljutni, végig van táblázva az út, a kék háromszöges útat kell követni. A túrista útvonalon lesznek bazalt lépcsők és egy elhagyott pihenő is, kényelmes tempóval a parkolótól kb. 35-45 perc alatt lehet felérni a kilátóhoz.

//English: Lookout tower was built in 2011 at an altitude of 437 meters and it's in impeccable condition. The lookout itself is approx. an 18 meter high, and spiral staircase leads up to the top. Anyone who has agoraphobia can be feel uncomfortable when going up and down, because stairs and floor made by grid metal.

The trees in the area have grown so high that the panorama can only be seen from the top level. Lake Balaton and the terrain behind it can be seen beautifully (Keszthely city cannot be seen). It is not difficult to get to the lookout, the road is signposted along it, the blue triangular road must be followed. The tourist route has basalt stairs and an abandoned rest area along. Wir sind mit dem Fahrrad bis zur Szent István King's Chapel gefahren ( Achtung schon sehr steile Abschnitte dabei...) von da aus dann einen Rundweg bis zum Gipfel... ich fand es nur mäßig gut ausgeschildert... ohne App wären wir sicherlich vom Weg abgekommen, der Weg ist immer unbefestigt und geröllartig, teilweise sehr steil, festes Schuhwerk ist Pflicht!, die Schuhsohlen welche sich während des Aufstiegs mit dem "Vulkansand " füllen, tritt man sich auf den Gitterrosttrittstufen (tolles Wort- mit 3x tt- lol) des Aussichtsturm wieder gut ab- manchmal aber eben auch auf den Kopf einer anderen Person welche darunter läuft...der Turm ist für die umliegende Bäume etwas zu kurz geraten bzw. könnte es auch sein, dass diese inzwischen gewachsen sind. Man kann nicht wirklich von einem Rundumblick sprechen, wie man auf deb Bildern auch erkennen kann... auf dem Platz am Fuße des Turmes war eine recht unaufgeräumte Nach-dem-Lagerfeuer-Stimmung mit mehreren verlassenen Feuerstellen, provisorische Sitzgelegenheiten etc. Trotzdem eine tolle Wanderung! Bitte ausreichend Getränke und evtl. Kekse/Powerriegel mitnehmen, wir haben keinerlei Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten...
