This place is absolutely magical. It was the best night of sleep I’ve had in the car so far—we parked right by the water and fell asleep to the sound of the waves. The pools, with their stunning view of the icy mountains, were breathtaking. Truly a magical experience.

The morning after we slept there, the road was covered in ice, and we struggled to leave. Being from Brazil, it was our first time driving in those conditions. When we returned to ask for advice, the owner and the kind gentleman at the entrance (you’ll recognize him by his beard) were like angels. They went out of their way to help us get the car up to a safer place where it was easier to drive. So kind, so gentle.

I will never forget this experience or these two people. I truly wish them all the best, as they made an already magical experience even more...

We've been in Iceland for 8 days now and this is by far the best hot spring out of the ~6 we've been to so far. The views are absolutely unmatched, the mountain side behind it has several streams rolling down it and the mist at the top of the mountains was beautiful. The water is HOT. The small pool was 39°C and the larger one was 41°C.

The ~15km gravel road to the pool was a bit bumpy at spots, but our little car made it just fine. Definitely worth the drive. Wasn't crowded at all. We went around 3pm and there were at most two other couples but we had the place to ourselves half the time. Price was 2,000KR per person. Very affordable and worth it. Even got a few slices of cake after that were amazing. Changing rooms were small but nice. Bring...

Loved this pool. We paid 1000isk inside the main building. The next building over is the lavatory, then it's a short walk to a shipping container with a changing room and shower (separate for men/women). The changing room was clean and they did provide soap. There are no private changing rooms or lockers; instead there are hooks and a bench for your belongings. It's also a short walk to the pools. One is hotter than the other (I believe the pool closer to the showers is the hotter one). The pools themselves are a little slippery, so be sure to use the handrails. They are made out of rock and are surprisingly comfortable to rest and relax on.

There is a rock wall that prevents a view of the fjord, but it also prevents the wind from disrupting...
