When I told my husband we were off to a goat farm he was a little skeptical - and 5 minutes later he was in love with all the baby goats (kids). We arrived exactly at opening after a short drive down a gravel road (worth it). We were the first ones for the day. We paid for our entrance (1600 ISK) and the employee walked us in and around and introduced us to all the goats and taught us about the farm. I wasn’t expecting such a personalized experience and it was really wonderful. The goats are so friendly and adorable, and we loved interacting with them. There are signs up with info about the goats, the farm, and the game of thrones connection. Afterwards we washed our hands and went inside to sample some of the goat sausage and goat cheeses. If it was possible to keep the cheese cool we definitely would have brought some back to Canada (my husband was a fan of the rosemary one). We loved our visit here and are so...

An incredibly beautiful farm in the most beaucolic setting. Loads of sweet Icelandic goats and a charming steading with a shop. We came in the office season and sent an email and Mummi invited us over for a tour of the farm. Having goats of our own and being farmers back home I was quite jealous of how great their operation is there. Everyone there was so friendly to boot. The cheese, sausage and jams they make are to die for. I'd travel back to Iceland just to have more of the goat sausage and birch and artic thyme flavored goat cheese. The goat milk soap is great too! I highly highly recommend this stop. It's especially nice to break up the constant crowded tourist traps and spend some time laughing and hanging out with...

Best Kept Secret in Iceland: My wife and I along with our twin 11 year old daughters had a great time. This isn't a "petting zoo." This is an amazing real working goat farm with the mission to repopulate an indigenous and nearly extinct Icelandic animal. You get to spend as much time as you like with the goats which are extremely friendly and fun to be around. Our guide, Edda, was incredibly knowledgeable (not just about goats but about all things Iceland). The owner's story is also amazing to hear. On top of which, you get to meet a Game of Thrones star from season 4. OH.....and the food products made from goat milk are amazing....just ask Mummi when you go inside. (His name is way too hard to say so his...

Wonderful. Definitely stop here. The owner and the young men helping out were awesome. I am a forty-something woman and visited by myself. The baby goats were adorable. I learned a lot about the recent history of goat farming in Iceland. I enjoyed conversing with one knowledgeable young man in the goat pen and another inside the small shop. The shop had furs, toys, jams, goat sausage, goat soap, insoles, and complimentary beverages for customers. I loved the terry cloth towels and excellent soap provided for washing hands after seeing the animals or using the restroom. Kids enjoy 2 trampolines, a few climbing toys, and chickens along with interacting with the goats. Perfect!
