This place is actually closed and there is very little to see except for at 11 and 3 o'clock when there is a guided tour.
So the price for admission that is stated on the website is not really for admission but just the price for the guided tour.
You can take a peak inside the church built in 1875, that building is most likely open between 10-17, other buildings are closed except for the guided tour times.
The nature and surrounding area is beautiful, especially if you're here on a good day.

Read moreIt doesn't deserve to get there. To arrive you need to go through a gravel road. Then the landscape is nice but nothing different from many others in Iceland. Have a look to the small river brace (close to the small house by the river) where water gets from the floor. When you arrive there arrive 4 small huts, that are not even old, with some grass on top, and finally you have to pay 1200 kr. for the guided visit... The most interesting is probably the small cemetery....
