Nothing to boast of except for its natural beauty. There is no development on part of local administration and people trying to trek to peak are very rare. Mostly people will venture a few kilometres and return after spending time at a small river stream at the starting of trek. There is a charge of 50 rupees per person for venturing into national park and you should start early by 0600 if planning to trek to peak so that you can return by closing time of 1630 hrs.

Trek is very beautiful, starts alongside the sea for about 2.5 to 3 kms and then gradually climb starts. There are a few streams u have to cross to reach the base of actual climb. The route is very beautiful with birds chirping and nice flora and fauna. Intial climb is good but gradually it gets very very steep as you go up. The distance shown in various websites is approx 8-9 kms one way but actual trek is about 12 kms one way. So please carry lots of water and food. There are no food stalls along the way. This is a very challenging and difficult climb for less fit persons. So if u have any comorbidities please don't take this trek as there is practically no assistance from local administration. There are not sufficient signboards along the way. Start early at 6 am as it could take 7-8 hours...
