Chaparai Water Cascade is a popular tourist destination located near Araku Valley in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Known for its picturesque scenery, flowing waters, and serene surroundings, Chaparai offers a refreshing escape into nature.

Key Features of Chaparai Water Cascade:

  1. Natural Beauty The cascading water flows over smooth, flat rock formations, creating a natural water slide. Surrounded by dense forests and lush greenery, it is a favorite spot for nature enthusiasts. Ideal for picnics, photography, and spending time amidst nature.

  2. Activities Swimming and Sliding: Visitors enjoy sliding along the natural rock formations into shallow pools below. Trekking: Short trails around the cascade allow exploration of the surrounding forest. Relaxation: The sound of water and cool breeze make it a perfect spot to unwind.

  3. Accessibility Located approximately 13 kilometers from Araku Valley and about 110 kilometers from Visakhapatnam, it is well-connected by road. Regular buses and taxis operate from Araku to Chaparai.

  4. Best Time to Visit Post-Monsoon Season (October to February) is ideal, as the water flow is abundant, and the weather is pleasant. Avoid visiting during the peak monsoon to ensure safety, as the water current can be strong.

Tips for Visitors Footwear: Wear non-slip footwear as the rocks can be slippery. Safety: Exercise caution, especially with children, as the water currents can vary. Essentials: Carry water, snacks, and a first-aid kit. Environmental Care: Avoid littering and respect the natural surroundings.

Nearby Attractions Araku Valley: A scenic hill station known for coffee plantations and tribal culture. Borra Caves: Famous limestone caves located about 40 km from Chaparai. Tribal Museum: Offers insight into the culture and heritage of local tribes.

In a popular place, water flows over the carpet like stone(a flat stone). The surrounding scenery is good. Some people take a dip, but I don't think it is healthy and safe. Complementary Dhimsa dance is also displayed. Its a nice place to spend time. People do come for picnic too. One can spend nice time dipping their feet in water. 50 INR per person for entry. Free parking available outside on the roadsideYou can spend some quality of time with your friends and family. Don’t forget to carry extra pair of clothes. There are clothes, changing rooms and toilets available. They were neat and clean. It was must visit place in Araku. Don’t avoid this place by seeing photos and videos. Just go for it. You will not regret it but in rainy seasons be careful because water flow suddenly increases and don’t pollute this area with trash.Wonderful scenery. Vast rock area to have beautiful photos and videos. Not like a regular waterfall where water falls from top. Here the water flow is horizontal similar to a river flow. Entry tickets are 50/- for adults.Situated on the way to Paderu, this well-known spot has a charming water cascade and lush green surroundings. While they're called Waterfalls, the Chaparai area in Dumbriguda is more of a picnic spot with streams of water flowing between rocks, allowing you to dip your feet in for a bit and enjoy some snacks. Like most places in Araku, the rocks here get slippery during the monsoon, and with the heavy current of waters flowing, we'd recommend you to be careful here if you're visiting during the rainy months. The journey to Caprai Waterfall was nothing short of magical. As we ventured through the lush greenery, the sound of flowing water grew louder, building anticipation with each step. When we finally reached the waterfall, the sight was breathtaking. The cascading water created a mesmerizing display, surrounded by the tranquility of nature. The cool mist from the waterfall refreshed our senses, and the serene atmosphere was truly rejuvenating. It was a day filled with awe-inspiring beauty and a reminder of the wonders that...

Chaparai is a picturesque water Cascade located on the Paderu-Araku Road in Andhra Pradesh's Vishakhapatnam District. It is a picturesque location surrounded by woodlands and one of the most famous Araku tourist destinations. The presence of the lovely stream running through large rock formations has made the region around the waterfalls a favorite picnic destination. Smooth slanted rocks block the stream, forming a massive natural water slide. This water Cascade is quite appealing and attracts a lot of people. The amount of water flowing has a direct impact on your pleasure of the location. This is not a waterfall; rather, water cascades over the rocks. During the dry season, there is little water running down, so the experience is not ideal. If you go during or after the rains, there is a water stream going downstairs where you may enjoy the rush of the water, snap photos, and relax. Be careful while entering during rainy season as the water current will be high and dangerous. During the winter season the water flow is less and people can enjoy it but the rocks will be slippery. Some parks are developed as of now at the entry of the cascade. Noticed that the people are taking photographs of the views from it. As of now, the entry ticket for adult is Rs.50 and child is Rs 30/ Outside the entry gate the bamboo chicken and chicken kebab will be there. The taste will be good and can be tried if u miss these to eat at Borra caves . It's better to order the bamboo chicken before entering the water Cascade, as it takes 30-60 min to cook the food However, last but not least, as the flow of water in the cascade is seasonal, before visiting this place; please ensure whether there is sufficient water in the cascade, to make fun, if not one will be...
