I recently stayed at this resort with my family. The rooms were old and had a stinky smell, which was disappointing.

We had a complimentary breakfast (2 per room) at the restaurant. The tiffins—idly, vada, and pongal—were fine, but the chutneys were bland.

We then moved to the boat house for a 24-hour stay. The boat house had two bedrooms with attached bathrooms and a dining area. The mattresses were very good, and while the rooms were old, they were fine. However, the bathrooms were full of mosquitoes.

The boat started in the morning, and we visited a casual island where we took a few snaps and stayed for about an hour. We ordered food from the Dindi restaurant, and the boat docked at the resort at noon to have the food delivered. The rice was hard, but the curries were fine. It would be great if the restaurant maintained a variety of South Indian and Godavari cuisines.

The boat then hovered to Narsapuram, passing by coconut plantations and Mada forests along the backwaters. We didn't get out of the boat on this route. The boat docked at 6 pm. Since we had a bad experience with the restaurant, we brought dinner from a nearby restaurant.

The view through the bedroom windows with the moon was great. The boat stayed docked all night at the resort, and we checked out at 9 am the next morning. There was no complimentary breakfast.

It's important to note that the resort was under construction during our stay, which may have impacted our experience.

Overall, while the view and some aspects were enjoyable, there were several areas that could...

Summary: Needs improvement in restaurant wait time and looks/maintenance.

Room: The suite room is clean and good. It has one bedroom and one dining/living room. It can accommodate 4 persons.

Resort: There is a good river view. 3 river boat ride types are available with 15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour, 2 hour, 12 hour, 24 hour options. There is a swimming pool and a children's playground/park (outsiders are allowed to enter with a 10 rupee ticket). But some parts in the resort are not appealing to look at. It needs better maintenance. There is already renovation work going on. Parking space available.

Restaurant: They have a weird system. Anything you want to have (either in the room or in the restaurant itself), even coffee, tea should be ordered before 20 minutes. Nothing is available instantly. The food itself tastes okay to above average to good. There are not many breakfast options. Complimentary breakfast includes only idly, uthappam, upma, coffee/tea - no refills.

Service: Overall service...

Pros Price is very economical. Parking is good. Facilities like swimming pool, Children play area, Boating in Godavari. Room service facility with acceptable extra cost. Service is fine, my room AC was not working due to gas issue and was fixed & extra pillow was provided immediately on our request. Staff is very humble, supportive and having patience. Rooms are good and spacious. Food is good but spicy. Cons Swimming pool is bit unclean. Room bedsheets, curtains, towel looks uncleaned and I was told due to salt water the cloth gets off white on washing but they are cleaned. Tea is not good at all. Maintenance is poor, even though we check in 1 hour late the rooms were not ready and I had to wait outside for 10-15 minutes till the time room was sanitized. AC was also not working initially but...

It is a great place for a weekend getaway located right on the bank of River Godavari. The property is owned and maintained by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. The stay was pretty nice and comfortable, we enjoyed the food from the restaurant served by Manikanta and other team members. The team is pretty friendly and welcoming which is truly refreshing. The only issue about the place was the lack of maintenance but the authorities of APTDC. Such a good property if maintained would do great wonders for the Tourism Department and the locals. The boat ramp (near the restaurant) is suffering a major rust attack and the houseboat interiors are also taking a major toll due lack of regular maintenance. If this part could addressed with regular maintenance and cleanliness of the property, I would definitely give it FIVE stars…
