It was a delightful experience visiting the serene Forestrek park with friends. 🌳 This spacious Reserve Forest park, nestled between Narsingi (Police Academy) & Appa Junction, offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. 🌿

Exploring the park on a Sunday morning was rejuvenating, with the place buzzing with excitement and laughter. 🌞 We were captivated by the stunning rock formations, especially the balancing boulders on hillocks, adding to the park's natural charm. 🏞️ The lush vegetation, hilly terrain, natural streams, and water bodies created a picturesque jungle-like setting.

The park boasts walking and cycle tracks, perfect for adventure enthusiasts. πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈ Additionally, beautifully designed Trek routes on hills provided us with thrilling experiences. πŸ§—β€β™‚οΈ The stone paintings adorning the rocks, particularly the animal paintings, added an artistic touch to the surroundings. 🎨

We admired the intricate bridges with artistic works and took advantage of the numerous seating benches scattered throughout the park. πŸͺ‘ The presence of gazebos and a watchtower allowed us to soak in the serene atmosphere and enjoy panoramic views. πŸŒ„

During our visit, we stumbled upon a rockathon competition featuring trekking, ziplining, stone balancing, and other engaging activities, adding to the excitement. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’¨ The availability of separate restrooms for men and women ensured convenience for all visitors.

Overall, the Forestrek park left a lasting impression, offering an ideal retreat to connect with nature, especially for families with children. πŸŒ³πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Whether you're seeking adventure or simply want to unwind amidst greenery, this park is a must-visit...

Forest Trek Park near the Hitech part of the city is a hidden gem offering a delightful escape into nature. Conveniently located near ORR and the newly opened cycle track, it caters to various preferences.

The park's natural and raw ambiance is its standout feature, allowing visitors to seamlessly blend into the wilderness. The vast expanse offers a mix of plain grounds, mini trails, and rocky areas for trekking. Caution is advised in certain areas due to the presence of reptiles.

For those preferring a more laid-back experience, the front part of the park provides a lovely sitting area. The unique touch of animal sculptures on huge rocks adds an artistic flair to the surroundings. Interesting for kids.

The trekking experience is enhanced by the panoramic views from hilltops, providing a serene environment with a 360-degree view. The landscape includes a valley, lake, and distant city views, creating a picturesque setting.

The park boasts natural plantation along pathways and hills, with the promise of more green cover as recently planted trees mature. Hidden spots with benches offer perfect retreats for nature enthusiasts, making it an ideal spot for a morning picnic.

With an entry fee of Rs 30 per adult and ample parking, Forest Trek Park serves as a mini park in this part of the city. It's a much-needed green oasis providing a breath of fresh air and a healthy outdoor experience. Whether you're a nature lover, hiker, or seeking a tranquil escape, Forest Trek Park promises a rejuvenating and...

Definitely much needed green space and trek area for public residing in this part of the city. Thanks for the initiative. My only complaint would be regarding the charges for carrying a DSLR camera. It can be a nominal charge of 200 or 300 INR. They're charging 5000 INR for half-day photoshoot. Not all families or friends would visit for a half day photoshoot to this place. Some of them might just carry their camera to capture the flora and fauna. What about them? It definitely doesn't come under the category of photoshoot. Such unreasonable/illogical charges towards carrying a camera would put off many nature/photo enthusiasts. I still can't understand why our parks cannot come up with nominal charges while most of the hill stations, like Ooty and Kodaikanal keep their charges at a basic level. Are Ooty and Kodaikanal not so beautiful or our parks over here are extraordinary? I don't understand at all.

Adult ticket - 20 INR

Camera charges - half-day photoshoot - 5000 INR πŸ™†πŸ€·.

Why?

Can anyone explain?

Apart from that complaint, everything else is good. Decent outing with family, for about 2 to 3 hours. Needs some more development and better security watch to prevent the public carrying plastic into the park. Already lots of plastic bottles thrown at most of the areas...

Nice place for a trek in the nature. Most of the path way is plain grounds, making it convenient for quick walking and jogging. Pathway is not cemented, hence exercise caution if jogging. There are mini trails where you can get into the rough and climb up small rocky areas. View from these hill tops is nice providing a serene environment. You get a 360 degree view, with a valley and lake on one side, plain lands with hills sprinkled on the other side. One side you get to see a far away city view with villas and apartments. Lot of plants are there, mostly natural plantation along the path way and on the hills. A lot of smaller more recently planted trees can be seen. Not as green as one would expect, will take few years before these plants grow up and provide a good green cover. Few hidden spots worthy of spending hours sitting and enjoying the nature are also there. Most of these places have benches for seating. A nice place for a morning picnic. There is an entry fee of 30 Rs per adult, with ample parking available outside the park premises. Monthly passes are also available. You can say it is a mini KBR park in this part of the city. A much needed green cover that provides healthy air.
