Galikonda View Point of the Araku Valleys are located on the way between Araku Valley Town and the Borra Caves. If you are travelling from Borra Caves to Araku Valley Town, this viewpoint will come at last and if you are travelling from Araku Valley Town to the Borra Caves, this will be the first viewpoint among the list of viewpoints and other locations that are up for visit or say that they are popular among the people. The Galikonda View Point is located at a curve of the road. The government has made a platform on this curve so that tourists can go and take pictures. The view is very beautiful. There is an Atmospheric Perspective which gives a view of the layers of hills that makes the location worth a visit. The Eastern Ghats are not as high as the Western Ghats in all places and the Eastern Ghats Range is generally discontinuous with several breaks throughout. However, there is this place, Araku Valley, in between the three states of Chattisgarh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh that is very distributed with almost no plain area. Unfortunately I couldn't take pictures of the scenery, as it was jam packed with people capturing their...

Visited Galikonda View Point during my Araku trip and honestly, it was one of the highlights. The view from up there is just beautiful—you can see layers of green hills stretching far into the distance. It’s peaceful, breezy, and the kind of place where you just want to sit and chill for a while. I went in the late afternoon and the weather was perfect—not too hot, not too cold. There’s a calmness to the place that makes you want to pause and take it all in. If you're into photography or just want a quiet place to unwind, this spot is ideal. There are a few small stalls nearby selling tea, corn, and bamboo chicken, so you can grab something to eat while enjoying the view. Not too crowded either, which made it even better. If you're visiting Araku, definitely stop here. It’s simple, peaceful, and the view is something you’ll remember. Good place to hang out with friends or just spend some alone time with nature.
