If traveling to the falls for the first time, better use Google Maps for directions. No proper sign boards on the highway. It is a 10 - 15 minutes drive up the hill. Rs. 50 is the parking fee. Shops with quick bites (bajjis, bondas, biscuits etc), snacks and refreshments available in the parking lot. The toilets were locked. Areas near the parking lot were full of empty / broken alcohol bottles, plastics bags and other trash. Entry to the water falls / temple is charged Rs 10 / head (adult and children). The stairs leading to the falls need to be laid properly as most of them are out of place and no handrails for the elderly. The passage from the 2nd landing to the actual falls is very narrow and no proper flooring. Very limited space under the falls. One changing room available for women but no light, no door. Unfortunately, a lot of people come there with soaps and shampoos and litter. And finally, lots and lots of monkeys. Careful as they can and do snatch personal belongings, food etc.

Huge regret visiting the falls past week 👎 Rude behavior, trash talk and pathetic attitude by the cop who were in charge of the place restricting the visitors to pass by. He spoke very bad of Tamilnadu and the mannerism taught to us. Heavy regret getting trash talk from him. He spoke bad of Tamilnadu and especially girls and his eyes towards girls wasn't right 👎 I've visited the same hidden falls past december and it was a great experience back then, but now that particular cop made our day spoil. Please visit the falls a month after, now isn't the time especially for people travelling from Tamilnadu. He allowed people of the same locality and also few people of note from Tamilnadu but he was very rude towards people of lesser note from Tamilnadu, i don't know why such a hate. Hereafter I won't visit the falls only because of such pathetic behavioral cop 👎 After such talks we weren't happy to go to the falls but yet still we thought of visiting to shift minds. People of lesser note from Tamilnadu like us were made to wait for nearly 5 hours to enter the falls. We didn't go to the main falls as we were interested to trek and experience the hidden falls so we planned to visit hidden falls. We were allowed to bath just for 30 minutes and one person was sent by the cop to leave the place, pathetic guy. Chuck off. Huge regret visiting such a beautiful place only because of such ill mannered cop. People from other than AP should think before visiting due to such person.

Great place for one day trip from near by 100km range I went from Chennai it took 2hrs to reach the falls and trekking is pretty hard it will take over 2 hrs from the parking to reach the last falls.. Depth is around 6-8 feet so going with a life jacket will be safe for non-swimmers to enjoy in tat depth .. At first for few minutes you guys will hate it as because you will not see any water once you reach few meters you will see waterflow The best guide is water just follow the flow of water and you will reach the destination ... No food items are available near by so it's better to take some food with you.. Best time for visit is starting your trek from parking at 8 - 9 am. So that you will reach by 10 -11 and enjoy in waterfall at least 2 hrs then have your lunch and slowly come down within 3 or 4 pm u will reach parking and can start your return journey before sunset..

Started from Chennai by 5.30 am and reached there by 8 am after finishing breakfast in highway entrance in small shop severed idly vadai, it was tasty and cheap price. Then proceed to kailasakona falls entrance there you can find many small shops and taking orders for lunch, we ordered nattakozhi chukka rice and fish fry , then we took a oil massage man with us and trek to second falls, after 20 mins trek reached second falls by 9.20 am , there pool with 5ft and small falls which is very easy to swim and take bath for all, water is very cold because we went in winter Jan month after 2hrs enjoying swimming and falls, we started back to main entrance by 12 pm but seen crowed of more than 2000+ peoples (so visit as early as possible for peaceful bath) then had our lunch and started back to Chennai by 1.30pm. nice place if we visit early or in weekdays...

Went on Oct 1st (Sunday), around 1 pm. Most of the early crowds had dispersed then. Not much water though (on Oct 1). Two places you can stand one under the falls and another below that (for people who don’t like to get wet and just for photos). The main water falling place is just 30 sq ft (on Oct 1st) so crowded. Once people enter that place they are unwilling to come out to give others opportunity. Entry 10₹ per person, car parking 50₹. Food: I saw two places one near the falls (where there are shops) and another just when you enter the hill, there is a small village. I ate in that village place but I don’t recommend it unless you don’t have any other option. You have to eat outside either seated in a cot or table. There are more than 10 dogs that will surround you, but does no harm though. Fish fry and country chicken was good. Rest all okay.
