Sri Veeranjaneya Temple, also known as Gandi Kshetram, is a Hindu temple in Gandi, a village near Vempalle in Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district. The temple is dedicated to Lord Anjaneya (Hanuman), who is known as Veeranjaneya in this temple. Kshetram's history dates back to the Ramayana, namely the Treta Yuga. According to tradition, Lord Rama himself drew the image of Lord Hanuman on the rock with his arrow while resting here and receiving hospitality from Lord Vayu (God of Air and Father of Lord Hanuman). Lord Sri Rama has finished painting Lord Hanuman, with the exception of the little finger on his left hand. Later, Vyasaraja sculpted this drawing into an idol; however, when Vyasaraja attempted to sculpt even the little finger of Lord Hanuman's left hand, it is stated that the finger of the idol was chopped off by itself and began bleeding. As the temple is believed to have been built several centuries ago and has since served as a symbol of dedication and faith. So The devotees have a special place in their hearts for the Gandi Anjaneya Swamy Temple. A more recent addition to the temple's popularity is the tall statue of Lord Hanuman, which attracts tourists from all across the nation. As a spiritual center for Ramayana devotees, the temple's past is entwined with regional myths and stories of Lord Hanuman's bravery and devotion to Lord Rama. The temple is small and the darshan will be done with in 30 minutes in normal days. The maintenance in the temple was nice and noticed the temple offering butter milk to the devotees. It will be advisable to visit the temple at the morning or evening times if we are planning with children and old age people. The temperature was high during my last visit. Divine experience and powerful vibes can be felt. Noticed few devasthanam quarters but which are not in good shape This temple is known as Abhayahasta Anjaneya Temple and is located on the banks of River Papaghni. In Telugu language Gandi means a narrow passage for the water to flow out. This place seems to be a narrow passage for the river to flow in between the hills of Eastern ghats. This place located in Kadapa district and is 34 km away from the...
