The temple is built in strict accordance with vastu sastra and so possessing sturdy prakars, tall gopuras, spacious courtyards, several minishrines, vast garbagrihas, grand mukhamandapas etc. it faces east and a tall tower surmounting over the broad mahadwara beckons the visitors with its beautiful sculptural pieces adoring it from top to bottom and on all four sides too. In front of it lies a vast courtyard with several buildings housing the office room, choultry and quarters for the staff. In the second Prakara, there are many mandapams installed with adorable deities, like Vinayaka, Navagrahas, Lord Venkateswara and Kaala Bhairava besides the exquisitely made colorful statues of Mother Kanyakaparameswari standing in fire -pit with parents by her side and A beautiful mirror house.

The garbha griha of Nagareswaraswamy is quite spacious, and its spick and span together with the elevated vedh for the lingam in the center is masterly planned and tastefully executed. The imposing ling installed on a broad, high pedestial adorned with colorful garlands and the triple lines studded with diamonds is so captivating that the devotees raise their hands in veneration the moment it gleams into their sight. And feel transported to Kailas for a while. Its size and sheen are its plus points. The other two garbha grihas frankling this housing Mahishasuramardhini and Vasavamba are grand, and the icons beautified with dazzling jewels and colorful outfit mesmerises the adorers. A single darsan leaves unforgettable impression on the minds of the devotees and beckons repeated visits on and on.

Hey hi guys, This is Prasanth Gupta(insta id : solo_travelleer). As part of a weekend family long drive to konaseem temples trip. In the beautiful evening after refreshment went to the pleasant temples in penugonda. This is top holy place for Vysyas community mostly Arya vysyas(Comiti). This temple was Kasi for Arya vysyas. The main temple in penugonda is this with three deities Of Lord Shiva as Nageswar Swami, Godess Mahishasura mardhini devi only idol gives charan (feet) darshan and Goddess Vasavi with small cute idol Makra tornam mata came here. Here In the place Where goddess vasavi sacrificed life instead of marrying other caste (Ruler of Chalukya Dynasty king Vishnu vardhan) with 102 Arya Vysya gotra couples who sacrificed their lives along with Goddess. The discussion of this temple and place in Skanda puranam, Narada puranam, Nandi vaishityam and more. As per some records this place has 4000 years of history. Usually in shivalayam only one Nandi in front of Shiva but here 2 will appear (1 during temple construction -1000 years ago & 2 belonging to dwapara yuga). There are 102 pillars inside the temple representing and shows the information related to those 102 couples, Gotras, upagotas and etc.. Goddess Vasavi is an incarnation of goddess Parvati for the Comiti (Arya vysya) community. The temple timings were Morning 6 to 12 pm and Evening 4 to 8 pm. Jai Vasavi🙏🏻 Jai Jai vasavi🙏🏻

I recently had the opportunity to visit Vasavi Temple, and it was a truly enriching experience. The temple's serene and spiritual atmosphere instantly made me feel at peace. The architecture of the temple was breathtaking, reflecting the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region. The intricate carvings, vibrant colors, and attention to detail were awe-inspiring. Inside the temple, I had the privilege of participating in a prayer ceremony. It was a humbling experience, and I felt a deep sense of connection and spirituality. The chants and rituals were performed with devotion, and I left with a sense of inner peace and tranquility. The temple grounds were well-maintained, and I could see the care that goes into preserving this sacred place. The gardens and surrounding areas were also peaceful, making it a perfect spot for meditation and reflection.
