We have 2 major ways to reach tirumala by steps 1) Alipiri 2) Srivarimettu. Alipiri is the longest way around 3500 steps and takes approximately 4 hours and Srivarimettu is the shortest way around 2300 steps and takes 1:30 to 2hrs.Free buses are available from the tirupati railway station from 5 am and APSRTC buses are also available but chargeable. Private vehicles are also available and they will charge 100 rs per head. It is 14 km from the railway station. SSD tokens issued from 6 am and tokens are limited. currently they are issuing 5000 tokens only per day so you can reach as early as possible. First submit your luggage to the language counter and collect the token at the starting point and scan it at step number 1200. Once you reach the last step you can collect your luggage at TBC(free laggage delivery centre).
Must remember the 👉aadhar card 👈 is mandatory to take a token.

Read moreAwesome place.Totally 2388 steps.You can reach sreevari metlu through free bus available from Tirupathi railway station via sreenivasa mangapuram.Free darshanam tickets will be available at starting of the steps for the people who climbs,please carry aadhar card.If you already booked 300rs darshanam tickets and also climbing the steps then mention that to the persons in counter,they will allot different slots for free darshanam so that you can get twice slots. Drinking water is available.In 1.30 hr we had reached tirumala.Be careful,wild boars are roaming there.No food stalls are available inbetween.
