This place is a must-visit if you are in the area, especially in the evening for beautiful views of Vijayawada, the Krishna River, and a stunning sunset from the hilltop. There is a mini bus service, so there is no problem if you arrive by auto rickshaw or are not confident enough to drive your car on the ghat road. There are 6-7 temples in a row that can be visited one by one, though the last two were not accessible during my visit due to construction works. The temple opens at 5 PM in the evening if you wish to visit. There isn’t much crowd in the evening, so it’s quite peaceful. However, the surrounding maintenance could be better.

One of the best tourist spots in Vijayawada. This hill is entirely dedicated to Vaishnava temples under prestigious math. Very well maintained and it's a nice drive up hill. View from the hill top is exceptional. Can have a calm evening with family in divine presence. Not many people in and around Vijayawada know about this place until recently. The hill is decorated and celebrated especially during dhanurmasa. Definitely will visit again.
If you are visiting Vijayawada make a point to come here, it's just the other side of river from durga temple.

Average experience in getting to the temple.
I do not know the situation now, but then we weren't allowed to walk up. We HAD to take ONLY the transport service provided by the temple. While the cost at ₹ 10 or ₹20 was insignificant, there was too much of waiting time.
The temples were either under construction or renovation, and so was the road to the top.
Lovely view from the top of Prakashan barrage & Vijayawada city.

Visited on March 2nd week, 2022. It is still developing and construction work going on. Very pleasant in the evenings and the rituals like Harathi, Surya Namaskar, Homam and Veda chanting are performing. Feel blessed.
They have their own temple transport to the temple on the hill. Cars are allowed to go up but bikes are not allowed. They will charge ₹30/- for an up and down trip. Facility available very frequently.

Very nice Venkateswara Swami temple. The road and Astha Laxmi temple is under construction. Awesome breeze though its summer. Many temples at one place. It's around 3 kms from Indra Keeladri aka Kanaka durga ammavari temple. The Krishna river and Vijayawada city view is spectacular from this place. One must visit this temple. Jai sreemannarayana.

Beautiful place for some serenity. The deities are so beautiful and with the chanting of hymns by the priests and students ads to the heightened experience. The scenery of the water is Krishna river, trains paying by and we can also see the capital region from the other side. Worth seeing both during the day as well as in the night. Please visit
