Hello Readers,

Dillighat is situated in Namrup which is 2 hours from tinsukia. This place is mostly captured by the people to get together like: picnic, hangout with friends to enjoy beautiful lush greenery of this place. You will get a small shop above the bridge to eat food and that is OK but don't expect much here. This place is adjacent to the river where you can bring your own vegetables/ cooking gas/liquor and all utensils to prepare yummy food and serve your love ones to enjoy the river view plus you can Indeed cross the river from one end to the other to get some beautiful greenery snippet for your memories.

I would recommend you to go here with kids and the senior citizens as this is the worth visiting and no risk .Try to get some sports activity to engage kids. It is a day trip to enjoy and keep the forever memories.

Request not to pollute and throw garbage here and there.

Kind...

Originally this place used to have a coal mine along with a stone mine. But now only stone is extracted from the river below. We used to have a truck which used to come here to take delivery of stones in the 1980-90s and as described by my father, the road along with the surroundings used to be fully black from the coal that used to fly off of the trucks that carried coal. There is a rapid rise in the level of water as well as high flow which can take anyone along with it and hence one should not try to get into it unprepared. Getting into the river banks is also not recommended. There is a hydropower station located at its vicinity which utilizes the immense flow of this river to...

The river Dilih or Disang flows through it. During the winter and mostly during the New Year's Day Dilihghat becomes a busy picnic spot. Clean water, river-bed rocks, green canopy of forests and tea gardens are the major attractions...
