Botanic Gardens at the Eastern Himalayan Botanic Ark aims to explore and to promote native flora and fauna for conservation and spread awareness in the locality. This “Eastern Himalayan Botanic Ark is the first of its kind inspired by nature in Eastern Himalaya. There are over 75 species of Bird, 72 Species of butterflies , 19 Amphibians, 14 Snakes, 9 Lizards and a diverse spiders and insects population in our Eastern Himalayan Botanic Ark. Botanic Ark plays a very vital role in ex-situ conservation being as a center for rescue, recovery, rehabilitation, exploration, documentation, germplasm preservation of plant species.
The Botanic Ark also play important role in environmental awareness on plants, enhance the plant related education knowledge, support the plant related research.
