Kanaklata Park is located at Owguri hillock by the side of he river Brahmaputra almost 5 km away towards the West from the Kolia Bhomora Bridge point connecting Sonitpur district at Tezpur. This top can be seen over the Brahmaputra river when you drive from the South from Nagaon district side. A beautiful memorial of Lady Kanaklata is here who achieved martyrdom during India's movement of "Leave India Movement" of the 1942. This point can be scaled up like hiking on foot from the Railway station side from the East in minutes or you can reach here from "Bam Parbatiya" side or "Rudra Pod" by road from the West by vehicles via forest beat office by an hour in normal traffic condition. Tezpur rock climbing training centre and a weather forecasting centre are located right on top of this hillock. The site is restricted and permission for entry is required.
