Staying in this lodge was a great experience, sine a few people get chance to stay over here. It is prerogative of Govt. officials. Myself, Ex DFO , Uttar Dinajpur, Ex, ADFO Of Uttar Dinajpur and friend Bappa checked in the heritage lodge on 2dn April and we will be checked out on 4th Morning. It is extremely beautiful bungalow type rest house made during British era. There was cook, and his assistant , They served anything food we required. On 2nd after checked in , we started for safari in the western range , our driver was Kutub and guard was Dole. Since we were the guest of the DFO Kaziranga , we need not have to pay for the cameras and vehicle. We went deep inside the jungle the path was not good because for continuous rain during last night. Anyway 4wheel drive Maruti vehicle was just good enough for this terrain. We found , Rhinos, Elephant and after 3 hour search we could come across a big Royal Bengal Tiger , a male one with all its majesty. we were fortunate enough for for having good shots at a distance about 400mtr . I personally used Nikon D850 with 200-500 f5.6, at 800 ISO and 1/1600 s exposure. Since , it was mostly cloudy I used higher ISO for better results .We were overly satisfied for having such a good shots. on 3rd , it was raining, still we, go out for safari, this day we did not came across anything particular , excepting common...

The Savannah of the Northeast. What an amazing place to be in. It will be the experience of your life whether you see any animals or not. The place is very huge and rich in flora and fauna. The guides are very well informed. They care for the animal like their own child. We saw a lot of rhinos and elephants. But don't be sad if you don't see any animals too because the forest is ultimate. There are mountains surrounding you. We went to the Western Range i.e. Bagori. We paid Rs 3700 Jeep safari and we were 5 people together. Overall around 700 per person. No other charges and we went for 7:30 to 9:30 slot. You can to stay overnight if u want to go for elephant safari as it starts from 5:30 am or if you can reach before that than there is no need to stay overnight. Give a thumbs up if my review was helpful or thumbs down...

First time had done jungle safari. A great experience indeed. We were lucky enough to see the famous One Horn Rhinos clearly in the daylight. There were also many birds along with deers, otters, elephants. We had opt for the West side jeep safari which cost us for like 4000/- including camera+go pro charges. We heard about leopards but didn't get the chance to see through the naked eyes. But the best part was riding on the open jeep through the Kaziranga Park & both sides of the road is covered with greens was something very soothing and blissful itself.
