Pros:

  1. waterfall is a real treat to eyes, away from city life.
  2. Air at this place appears to be pollution free.

Cons:

  1. Located too far from DOBOKA-MANJA-DIMAPUR National Highway (20KM).
  2. The road is in very poor condition, its very narrow, with defunct bridges. Going in summer or monsoon is extremely no.
  3. Except initial few km (2-3km) the entire length is out of any mobile network coverage.
  4. Entry to the picnic spot is too expensive. We were charged ₹800 for BUS + ₹100 for parking.
  5. The actual picnic spot is few 100 mtrs away from parking spot. Bringing music system, cooking utensils , battary (power backup) is very difficult.
  6. VERY IMPORTANT: Only fit with good health people can reach upto the water fall that with a constant danger to fall of the steep rock facing the water fall. Those who cant cover the very dangerous path (for any age group and fitness level) upto water fall will get nothing to enjoy.
  7. In case any trouble - no help can be provided by police/administration as it is located too far.

Conclusion:

A big no for family picnic. Dont drink if planning to go...

Remote and absolutely stunning! If you drive from Guwahati/Nagaon, take the left from Dokmoka. The 20 km drive through the village will take an hour to reach the picnic spot as the road is under construction. The area is out of any mobile network coverage but we find the guidance from villagers very helpful. You will have to pay an entey fee of 150 rs for your car, an additional 20 rs per person and another 40 rs for parking, which is exorbitant. The waterfall is about 200 meters from the parking ground. It's an easy hike.Closing time is around 4:30 pm and they will not let you go near the waterfall after that. Swimming and bathing is not allowed. We reached late and luckily met the village head (SGB Mr. Taro) who was kind enough to allow us go near the waterfall and click some stunning pictures. Above all, a very nice experience. Worth...

One of the most best waterfall in India. The place is amazing and the scenic beauty is mind-boggling. It takes around 3 hrs to reach the waterfall. Most of the road is in good condition but around 25 kms is kaccha road and it consumes some time during the whole journey. So it's better to start early if you are going from Guwahati or nearby areas. The people are very welcoming and helps to find the find the ways if get lost. So the overall journey was amazing and the view of the waterfall makes you forget all the hardships to reach the location. PS: Start early in morning if you are traveling from Ghy. The Google map used to show different roads take the road from...

Bhelughat Waterfall or Pak'longkam (Di'krutpi) Waterfall is a scenic waterfall located near the town of Diphu in the Karbi Anglong district of Assam. It is situated about 25 km away from Diphu town and can be reached by car or motorbike. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests and has a height of approximately 70 feet. The water falls down from the top creating a stunning natural pool at the bottom. Visitors can take a refreshing swim in the pool or simply enjoy the view of the waterfall and surrounding nature. Bhelughat Waterfall is a popular picnic spot and attracts many visitors throughout the year, especially during the monsoon season when the waterfall is at its best.
