Panathur Lake — Attraction in Bengaluru

This lake and its around 1.5 km path are attractive. The trees and lake create a peaceful environment, while the greenery around makes it a nice place to walk. There is also a railway track nearby, which some people enjoy for the good views. The best times to visit are early in the morning from 6 AM to 8 AM and in the evening from 5 PM to 6:30 PM , especially for beautiful sunrises. you can enjoy the bird sound also.

However, one major drawback is that the lake is near a cremation site, which keeps many people away. The area is not well maintained, and very few people seem interested in enjoying peaceful places like this. May be Many prefer to stay in their apartments instead of going out for a walk with family or friends. This lack of visitors might be why the government does not invest in improving the area.

In a city like Bangalore, with such a high population density, it is disappointing that there is only one public park within a 5 km radius. The government should focus on adding more parks, including children's areas, and improving cleanliness to attract...

I was awestruck to find so many Lotus/ water lillies. Lots of birds can also be spotted here. I felt the morning visit was good compared to the evening one. The view looks good at some parts of the lake and while other parts look dirty. There's a fence around the lake on the half side and the other side has a pathetic road fully muddy and terrain shaped by whoever passed by on the bikes. There's no proper entrance for this lake. Mosquitoes are there so beware of you going in the evening, they might feast on you 😜

The lake is situated and covers a wide area with a nice view. There is a railway track nearby and the view when a train passing near the lake is adorable!! There is a long pathway around the lake where we can go for a walk or for jogging. On one side, the path is bordered by trees where we can sit back and relax. But the lake and it's surrounding lack good maintenance. There are no benches made for the visitors to sit. Overgrown plants are giving the threat of snakes and other creatures.
