Sri Kashi Viswanatha Temple at Kadigodi near the White field Railway Station is an ancient temple constructed by the Chola Rajas more than one thousand years ago here in the old Kadigodi area, it is said that the name Kadigodi has come from the two names Kadu +Gudi means temple in the forest.now it is Kadigodi

Probably the name Kadigodi could have been named by locals because of this temple.

Though this temple temple was dated back to thousands of years, with initiation undertaken by Bhagawan sri puttapathri Sai Babaji, temple came to limelight, in the year 2013 a sincere devotee from Reddy community had renovated the temple.

Sri Kashi Viswanatha temple is a beautiful and clean one, the main deity is none other than Lord Shiva and His Divine Consort Sri Vishalakshi Amma, here in the temple complex we can see Sri Dathathreya swamy temple.

I visited in the auspicious day of Mahashivratri to worship my life father/teacher/solicitor/guiders and got the divine blessings. I chanted Shiv Panchakshar mantra & Mahamrityunjay mantra continuously to get full energetic and powerful. Every year on this special day I am having fasting for the whole day and night (24 hours for without having water).
