We set out thinking Turahalli was going to be a hiking adventure, carried all our gear, and followed Google Maps — which led us into the forest, up a hill, only to be greeted by a spray-painted “Private Property, No Entry” at what was apparently the “entrance gate.” So much for that.
After making our way down and trying the other side, a few free YouTube videos finally pointed us to the actual entrance — which turned out to be the Tree Park on the edge of the forest. Entry timings are oddly restrictive, so we killed time elsewhere and came back at 4 PM.
The pathways looked promising — narrow and forest-y — so we thought there’d be a lot to explore. But within 15 minutes (including a 5-minute walk from the sunrise viewpoint) we’d covered the whole thing. Whoever calls this a “hiking spot” clearly has a very loose definition of hiking.
