Jai Hanuman Jai Shri Ram . In ancient times, there was a canal on the south side of the temple, which connected Ganga and Punpun. Now the river has shifted several kilometers towards the south. The stream of Ganga also does not flow in this direction. At present, the river has ceased to exist here. This temple, which was earlier made of tiles, has now been converted into a concrete and grand building. Its beauty and grandeur are worth seeing. In this grand temple built at a cost of approximately 15 crores, not only Pavanputra Hanuman and Devadhishdev Mahadev are seated. Apart from this, Ganesh Ji and Maa Bhagwati are also there. Shri Ram Darbar and Yagya Mandap are decorated along with it. The glass workmanship in the temple premises is a sight to behold. More than a dozen artists from Kolkata and Patna City have given an attractive look to the colourful glass. The temple was renovated in just 17 years. It is maintained by Patna Mahavir Mandir Nyasa Samiti. Thakurdin Tiwari at that time separated ten kattha of land from his mango grove. Legend has it that Gulaldas ji stayed here for 06 months. During this time a big yagya was also performed here. After this Gulaldas ji disappeared. Earlier this area of Begumpur used to be filled with water. Due to this it came to be known as Jalla. On 26 January 1997, in the presence of Acharya Kishore Kunal, the villagers of Jalla decided to renovate this temple. Pandit Ramavatar Tiwari, the sixth generation of Thakurdin Tiwari, handed over this property completely to the committee formed for the temple in a meeting of villagers on 22 August 1999. After this the construction of this temple started. Today it is famous as the biggest Hanuman temple not only in Patna but...
