Shanti Baba Mandir — Attraction in Bihar

Kahalgaon, or Colgonj as it was known earlier has been seat of education in past history, being relics of Vikramshila University at Antichak. Be it Shanti Mandir or Bateshwarnath temple, it gives a feeling of God's abode. यह स्थान एक अति मनोरम, मनभावन रमणीक क्षेत्र है, यहाँ पर लगभग तीन विभिन्न मन्दिर(धार्मिक स्थल) हैँ जो कि तीनों ही पृथक चट्टान समूह पर अवस्थित हैँ. जिनमें से एक यह शांति बाबा का मन्दिर है. इस मन्दिर के भीतर किसी प्रकार का कैमरा का प्रयोग यानी फोटो लेना प्रतिबंधित है जैसा कि आपको प्रवेश करते हुए ही चेतावनी दिख जाएगी. यहाँ पहुँचने के लिए आपको नाव लेना होगा जो कि कई नाविक घाट किनारे उपस्थित रहते हैँ अपनी सेवाएं प्रदान करने के लिए । ध्यान रहे आपसे वे अधिक शुल्क की माँग भी कर सकते हैँ इसीलिये सावधान हो कर यात्रा करें तथा पहले ही उनसे जानकारी तथा वादा- सहमति ले लें पैसों तथा किन किन मन्दिर (चट्टान समूह) टापू का वे दर्शन कराएंगे. कहलगाँव रेलवे स्टेशन से उत्तर पश्चिम दिशा जाने वाली गली के मार्ग से आप सुगमता से यहाँ इस घाट पर आप पहुँच सकते हैँ

This place is a very picturesque and pleasant area, there are about three different temples (religious places) here, all three are situated on separate rock groups. One of which is the temple of Shanti Baba. Use of any kind of camera i.e. taking photographs is prohibited inside this temple as you will see a warning as soon as you enter. To reach here you will have to take a boat, many sailors are present at the ghat to provide their services.Keep in mind that they may demand more fees from you, hence travel with caution and take information and promise-consent from them in advance about the money and which temples (rock groups) they will take you to see on the island. You can easily reach this ghat from Kahalgaon Railway Station via the street going towards north-west.
