सीवान जिले के गुठनी प्रखंड स्थित सोहगरा धाम में सावन के मौके पर श्रद्धालुओं खासकर महिलाएं और कुंवारी युवतियों का पूजा करने के लिए तांता लग जाता है. बिहार-उत्तर प्रदेश की सीमा स्थित सोहगरा धाम पौराणिक स्थानों में से एक है. यहां स्थित बाबा हंस नाथ मंदिर में भगवान शिव का विशाल शिवलिंग देखने को मिलता है. जो सावन के महीने में लोगों की आस्था का खास केंद्र बन जाता है. यहां दूर दराज से श्रद्धालु भगवान शंकर की पूजा-अर्चना करने के लिए आते हैं. खासकर सोमवार के दिन शिवलिंग का जलाभिषेक करने के लिए यहां भक्तों की भारी भीड़ उमड़ पड़ती है.

मंदिर के बारे में लोगों की ऐसी आस्था है कि यहां प्रसाद चढ़ा कर पूजा अर्चना करने से मन्नते पूरी होती है. मंदिर मनचाहे पति और संतान प्राप्ति के लिए विख्यात है. जिस वजह से यहां सबसे ज्यादा महिलाएं और युवतियां पूजा अर्चना के लिए आती हैं. हालांकि अति प्राचीन शिव मंदिर की उत्पत्ति और निर्माण के बाद कोई स्पष्ट जानकारी नहीं मिलती है. मंदिर से जुड़ी कई किवदंतियां है कहां जाता है कि मंदिर में स्थापित विशाल शिवलिंग अपने आप प्रकट हुआ है. जिसकी राक्षसराज वाणासुर की पुत्री ने उषा ने पूजा अर्चना की तो फलस्वरूप उसकी शादी भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के पौत्र अनिरुद्ध के साथ हुई.

वहीं कालांतर में काशी नरेश राजा हंस ध्वज ने संतान उत्पत्ति के लिए यहां आकर मन्नत मांगी थी और उनकी मुराद पूरी हो गई. इसके बाद राजा हंसनाथ ने इस विशाल मंदिर का निर्माण कराया तबसे मंदिर का नाम बाबा हंस नाथ हो गया और मंदिर संतानहीन दंपत्तियों व कुंवारियों के पूजा का केंद्र बन गया. वहीं सोहगरा धाम के पुजारी भी लोगों की आस्था और मंदिर से जुड़ी कहानियों को सही बताते हैं. पुजारियों की माने तो यह मंदिर द्वापर युग का है जहां पूर्व में विशाल जंगल हुआ करता था. राक्षस राज रावण के मित्र बाणासुर की पुत्री उषा को भ्रमण के दौरान यहां विशाल शिवलिंग मिला था. महाशिवरात्रि और सावन के महीने में यहां दूरदराज श्रद्धालु और शिवभक्त जलाभिषेक के लिए आते हैं और पूजा अर्चना कर मन्नत मांगते हैं.

वैसे तो सोहगरा धाम के बाबा हंस नाथ मंदिर में सालों भर शिव भक्तों का मेला लगा रहता है. लेकिन, सावन के महीने में यहां एक बार फिर से श्रद्धालु शिव भक्तों की भीड़ जुटनी शुरू हो गई है. जो आस्था और श्रद्धा की एक अलग ही छठा बिखेर रही है. सावन के दुसरे सोमवार को लेकर पूरा सुहागरात धाम शिवमय हो गया है और चारो तरफ हर हर महादेव, जय भोले नाथ व बोल-बम के नारे...
