I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dashkund Waterfall in Sirpur, and I must say it was an enchanting experience. This hidden gem nestled in the heart of Chhattisgarh's natural beauty is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. Location and Accessibility (⭐⭐⭐⭐): Dashkund Waterfall is relatively easy to reach, with advantures. Scenic Beauty (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): As you approach the waterfall, the sound of cascading water becomes more pronounced, building anticipation. The moment you lay eyes on Dashkund, you're greeted with a breathtaking sight. The waterfall, surrounded by dense forests, is a picturesque scene straight out of a postcard. The crystal-clear waters plunge from a significant height into a serene pool below, creating a mesmerizing display of nature's power and beauty. Trails and Hiking (⭐⭐⭐⭐): The area offers well-maintained trails for those who enjoy a hike. Trekking to the waterfall is an adventure in itself, allowing you to immerse in the natural surroundings and spot local flora and fauna. Swimming and Relaxation (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): The pool at the base of the waterfall is perfect for a refreshing swim. The water is cool and invigorating, making it a great way to cool off on a hot day. It's also an excellent spot for relaxation, whether you choose to sunbathe on the rocks or simply sit by the water's edge and take in the serenity. Local Cuisine (⭐⭐⭐⭐): After a day of exploration, you can savor local cuisine from nearby stalls. Try the delicious Chhattisgarhi snacks and refreshments available, which add to the overall experience. Overall, Dashkund Waterfall is a natural wonder that has captured my heart. It's a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a chance to connect with nature in its purest form. If you're in Sirpur or anywhere near, don't miss the opportunity to visit this incredible waterfall—it's a journey worth taking.

Dhaskund Waterfall is a stunning and lesser-known natural wonder located near the historic town of Sirpur in the Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh, India. Nestled amidst dense forests and rocky terrain, this beautiful waterfall is an emerging eco-tourism spot and a peaceful escape for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and photography enthusiasts. The waterfall is formed by a stream flowing through the rugged hills and plunging into a naturally carved pool below. During the monsoon and post-monsoon seasons, the water flow increases dramatically, creating a thunderous yet calming sound that echoes through the surroundings. The fresh air, greenery, and soothing sound of water make it an ideal destination for a short trek and picnic. What adds to its charm is the untouched beauty and raw natural landscape. Unlike commercialized tourist places, Dhaskund offers a tranquil environment with fewer crowds. The surrounding forests are home to a variety of flora and fauna, making it perfect for nature walks and bird watching. Located approximately 10–12 kilometers from Sirpur, Dhaskund is easily accessible by local roads, although a short hike through forested paths may be required to reach the base of the waterfall. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable footwear and carry water and snacks, as there are limited facilities nearby. The region around Sirpur is also rich in historical and archaeological significance, being home to ancient Buddhist and Hindu ruins. So, a trip to Dhaskund can also be combined with a visit to Sirpur's temples and excavation sites. In short, Dhaskund Waterfall is a hidden treasure of Mahasamund that promises both adventure and serenity, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of Chhattisgarh.

Unexplored beauty located at the pristine jungles of Barnawapara wildlife sanctuary at about 12 km from Sirpur. Reaching the spot:- Its about 20 min drive from Sirpur by car. No public transport to reach here. The last 3 km drive is kind of off-road. A 5 min walk from the place you can reach by road will reveal the hidden gem 😇 Facilities:- No public amenity available here. No food outlet or drinking water. Must carry the food & drinking water. Could find 2 forest guards visited the place though. About the place:- It's about 75 feet high #waterfall falling in two stages. Not much crowded then and one can get drenched beneath it and climb over the rock formations given you know swimming as well. Because one has to cross the pool of water to climb over the slanted rocky formation though it's not that safe to do! Photographer's paradise:- As my co-travellers enjoyed taking a dip in the fall, i got immersed in capturing the beauty of the waterfall 📸📸📸 Suitability point of view:- Best suited for groups & families accompanied by gents. It May not be safe for single or couples 🤔 Request to fellow travellers:- Please don't throw rubbish all over the place 🙏 its high time the tourism department ventures in & conserve nature from spoilt by irresponsible travellers. Best time to visit:- Since the waterfall is not perennial, the best time to visit will be during or after the monsoon. Thanks
