Visiting the ISKCON Temple in Raipur was a truly peaceful and spiritual experience. The temple is located in Alopi Nagar GE Road Post Tatibandh, and as soon as I entered, I felt a sense of calm and positivity. The serene atmosphere, with devotional songs playing in the background, added to the sacredness of the place. The beautiful idols of Lord Krishna and Radha were adorned with intricate decorations, and the temple’s architecture was simple yet elegant. I attended the aarti in the evening, which was a deeply spiritual experience with devotees chanting together, filling the atmosphere with devotion. The temple was well-maintained, and the cleanliness was impressive. I also visited the prasadam area, where I enjoyed a simple yet delicious meal. The staff and volunteers were very welcoming and friendly, making the experience even more pleasant. Overall, my visit to ISKCON Temple was a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of city life. It gave me a chance to reconnect with spirituality and find inner peace in the tranquil environment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking solace and a moment of reflection.

At present I would like to give average remark only . I know the day will come , I will revise my comments and will give them what actually they deserve . I am a frequent visitor of iskcon temple , Raipur . The temple is under construction in front of Maharshi Vidya Mandir ahead of Tatibandh towards Bhilai Road . Yesterday I visited and attended Aarti at Iskcon temple . Preparation for Celebration of Janmashtami is going on in full swing . It will be celebrated from 23 rd - 25th August 2019 . ( Main one on 24th ) . Few glimpses of preparation is attached with my photo . I visited the temple recently on 22nd 2021 . Due to some restrictions Even though Janmashtami will be observed on 30th August 2021 , but not like previous years ( Ofcourse last year also there was restriction ) . Today i. e. on 19th August 2024 visited ISKON . The Prana Pratistha ceremony of the newly built temple is being observed on 17- 19th Aug 24. The Janmastami will be observed 27 - 29th August 24 .

🌟 Atmosphere & Architecture A magnificent white‑marble temple complex set in serene greenery—a visual sanctuary that radiates peace and devotion . The brand-new temple, inaugurated in August 2024, spans ~6 acres with a beautifully built structure featuring 13 golden‑topped shikharas and teak/granite accents—worthy of social media buzz . Spiritual Experience Daily routines include heartfelt kirtans, chanting sessions, evening aarti, and philosophical talks—promoting a vibrant bhakti-yoga atmosphere . Festivals like Janmashtami, Radhashtami, and Holi bring vibrant energy with processions, music, and cultural performances. Janmashtami alone sees thousands gathering for spectacular celebrations . Visitor Feedback Positive Highlights: Many visitors praise the calm ambience and devotional vibe: > ā€œIt is a very peaceful place. As soon as you enter here, you feel peace and positive vibes.ā€ ā€œA quiet and peaceful place… worth a visit.ā€

ISKCON Raipur is a prominent spiritual and cultural center located in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Affiliated with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)—founded by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1966—the temple is dedicated to spreading the teachings of Lord Krishna based on the sacred texts of the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam.

The temple features beautifully adorned deities of Sri Sri Radha Krishna, Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra, who are worshipped with devotion through daily rituals, aartis, and bhajans. The temple environment is peaceful and spiritually uplifting, drawing both devotees and curious visitors alike. Architecturally, ISKCON Raipur follows a traditional Indian temple design, offering a clean and serene space for prayer and meditation.

One of the temple’s main attractions is its vibrant celebration of festivals. Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, is the most grandly celebrated event, featuring devotional singing, dancing, discourses, and prasadam distribution to thousands. Other important festivals like Rath Yatra, Radhashtami, and Gaura Purnima are also celebrated with enthusiasm and large community participation.

Beyond religious services, ISKCON Raipur is deeply involved in community outreach. It conducts free prasadam distribution, spiritual education programs, youth development workshops, and cultural events. The temple promotes values like non-violence, vegetarianism, and a God-centered life, encouraging people to live harmoniously and with purpose.

ISKCON Raipur stands as a beacon of devotion, knowledge, and service in the region. It not only provides a sacred place for worship but also serves as a center for learning and self-realization, making it a vital spiritual destination for the people of...

ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) is part of the Bhakti Movement, founded by Bhaktivedanta Srila Prabhupada. The temple is truly beautiful, with divine idols of Lord Krishna and Radha Maa, a grand temple complex, and soulful kirtans.

But there’s one thing I noticed in this Bhakti Mandir there seemed to be no real sense of devotion among most of the visitors. I went there on a Sunday and saw that people were treating the place more like a tourist spot rather than a spiritual one. Where the kirtan was taking place, only a handful of people were actually sitting and listening.

In contrast, all around the temple premises, and even inside, people were behaving in strange, clownish ways. Everyone was busy taking selfies some reaching into the bushes, some lying down, some posing in odd angles in front of pillars. Imagine, thousands of people, and almost all of them posing like clowns with outstretched arms for selfies.

Someone was standing next to a pole taking a selfie—(I mean, seriously, what’s so unique about that? You could’ve done the same thing at home! 😃)

I’m quite sure that most of them haven’t read the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, nor the Vedanta, nor do they have the interest to do so. And neither do they carry any real sense of devotion. They just saw a big, impressive temple with a garden, and decided to visit clicking selfies with the same enthusiasm as if they were at Urja Park on VIP Road or some amusement park.

What I saw in that temple was everything except devotion.

Hey Krishna Bhagwan, please bless us with wisdom, give us the power of devotion and the strength of dharma, so that our minds may remain calm...
