Raigarh: Ram waterfall located in the forest area is on the verge of losing its existence due to the negligence of the administration. There is a belief about Ram waterfall that Lord Rama spent some time of his 14 years of exile in this forest area under Bhupdevpur in Raigarh district. When Sita Mata was thirsty in the dense forest during the exile period, she could not find water even after wandering far and wide, so Lord Ram shot an arrow, due to which water started flowing from the mountain. Mother Sita quenched her thirst with that water and blessed him to always quench the thirst of people and animals.
That is why water is continuously flowing from the waterfall. Due to this, the waterfall was named Ram Jharna, but due to the negligence of the administration, Ram Jharna is shrinking and now it is left in the shape of a drain. This waterfall is being maintained and beautified only by the entry fee of tourists. This is the belief Regarding Ram waterfall, historians and local people say that there is evidence of Lord Rama's arrival here, so this fact cannot be denied. Local Rajesh Jain says that since childhood he has dreams that his ancestors know this place by the name of Ram Sharma. Slowly, due to modernization and administrative negligence, its existence is ending. There is no place even to sit for the tourists coming here. There is no arrangement to reach here. This waterfall is running on the mercy of Lord Rama. Lord Ram's footsteps in Dharamjaygarh SP Mehra, professor of the district's government college and a historian, says that some time of Shri Ram's exile period was spent here. Because when Ram left Ayodhya for exile, he reached Chandrapur's Mahanadi via Dharamjaygarh Mand river of Raigarh district. Ram waterfall of Bhupdevpur is situated in the meantime. It is a wonder that water is coming out from such a place On the matter of water coming out by shooting an arrow, Mehra said that water coming out from such a place is a wonder in itself. If water is coming out from the chest of the mountain, then it can definitely be believed that Lord Ram must have done a miracle at that place with his arrow. Perhaps this is the reason why that place was named Ram Jharna.
