Shishupal Mountain is an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating destination that left a lasting impression on my heart. The hike to the summit typically takes around 30-60 minutes, and I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing this gem during the rainy season when it transforms into a breathtaking paradise. During our descent, the heavens opened up, and the rain turned the landscape into an ethereal wonderland. I fell head over heels in love with this mountain.
For those seeking an extra dose of magic, consider spending the night on the mountain. This transforms your experience into something truly memorable. The serenity of the night sky and the sounds of nature make for an unforgettable adventure.
Warning ⚠️: The hike uphill can be a bit challenging, so exercise caution during your ascent. Proper footwear and hydration are essential.
In conclusion, my journey to Shishupal Mountain was nothing short of magnificent. It etched beautiful memories in my heart and left an indelible mark on my brothers and me. The tranquility and beauty of this place are beyond words, and I can't wait to return. Shishupal Mountain is a slice of heaven on Earth that everyone should experience at least once in...
Read moreView of the valley from the top is amazing. The natural rock cut formations, waterfalls makes the scene even more beautiful. One can see 2 prominent waterfalls and in peak monsoons many small streams can be seen running down the cliff. The trek is moderate and it takes about 30 mins to reach the top. There is a Shiv temple on the top, with a small lake nearby. The trails are well defined, however one must carry proper shoes for good grip. The trek is steep and a there are a few patches with slippery rocks. It is advisable to carry food and water as there are no shops on the top and it can get pretty hot on a fine sunny day on the top because of rocks. However the trails and the top as well are full of litter and no signs of cleaning, everywhere one can find trash scattered. No dustbins installed. Neither tourists, nor locals or the govt is involved in taking care of the Natural beauty. There are no signboards to mark the spot, follow gmap to reach the spot or ask the locals. The place has all the potential of becoming a tourism hotspot but lack of interest from govt side is clearly evident. This needs to be...
Read moreUnluckily this trek was very tough for me. So I changed my mind and turned back midway. Factors responsible for this were plenty. One of them was loss of stamina and heart beat. Just few days ago a person died here. And every year there are multiple deaths. Some suicides as well.
I woke up early morning 6 o clock which isn’t the usual time I get up. Riding my bike 215km from Bhilai. This took me 4.5hrs to complete. As soon as I reached there, I was overwhelmed so I started climbing without rest. But very unfortunate as I expected light showers but it was very hot today, which made it more humid and I was sweating heavily along with shortness of breath.
I would suggest everyone to not carry luggage with you as I did the same mistake of carrying a backpack, a helmet with 2 bottles of water. I think just 2 water-bottles would be enough. Also I would suggest take rest before climbing. This isn’t easy.
On my way back to my home. After riding almost 350+ kms I had no hope but to sleep on a footpath adjacent to National Highway. I couldn’t...
