Let me give you a disclaimer. Please do not expect a lot from this place because you'll be highly disappointed. Now let me answer a few basic questions regarding this attraction.

Is there parking available? Yes. There's enough space to park the car to 15-20 mins Is there any ticket system? No Is there a lot of crowd? We did not see any other tourists apart from us when we visited What can we expect from this place? There's a big rock, possibly made of a certain different mineral that makes the rock sound different when you hit the surface with another normal rock. That sound has been referred to as music and thus the name.

You can absolutely visit this place, it would take 5-10 mins. Especially if you're interested in chemistry and rock...

Thinthini Patthar near Darima is a fascinating natural wonder! This massive cylindrical rock, perched among others, rings like a metal bell when struck—different spots produce different tones, making it a quirky stop for curious travelers. Just 12 km from Ambikapur and close to Darima Airport, it’s easy to reach by car or auto, though the road could use some upkeep. No entry fee, and it’s a quick 20-30 minute visit—perfect for a break. Locals say it’s tied to ancient tales, adding a mystical vibe. No facilities nearby, so bring water. Pair it with a trip to Mainpat for a fuller adventure. A cool, offbeat spot for geology fans or anyone...

On the way to Mainpat this site is located around few meters from main road. There are many rocks but this rock called Thinthini makes somewhat a mettalic sound on knocking with another stone. It appears it is a hollow stone which forms different sort of sound on knocking which resembles to a metal sound. However Tourism department has publicised about this rock sufficiently but on reaching on site it is found pure neglected. No sign board, no railings, no one to guide?? Just the rock has been painted white to make it different from other lying rocks. One villager came and informed us about it and requested for some...

A place worth visiting once. Being located in a village area, this is not a place with tourists rushing in. Local peasants say that Indira Gandhi and even Mahatma Gandhi had visited here once. It's a group of rocks having carvings and upon hitting the rocks, produces a hollow, metallic sound. Ancient rock with mysterious mettalic sounds, this is situated in a non descript village few kilometres away from the local Darima Airstrip of Ambikapur (Surguja) district of Chhattisgarh. Villagers also relate this structure to the era of Lord Ram and is even worshipped
