A place with amazing natural phenomenon where water flows up the gradient, vehicles rolls upward (with engines off and in neutral). There are few scientific explanations to this available in the net but whatever may be the explanations in theory, the happenings under real eye is extraordinary. This is one of the most viewed locations of Mainpat. The view from the hilltop is also excellent. The nature has gifted this place with everything beautiful and amazing. The location is 10 kms from Mainpat town centre. Some small stalls with fruits, tea and snacks are also available here. A parking fee of Rs.30.00 is applicable but entry is free. Highly recommended.

Very nice Place. There is a small well here, from where water comes out and goes upwards. When water moves from bottom to top,So that is called 'Ultapani'. The name of the place where this incident occurs is 'Bisarpani'. On this small hill the vehicle also moves upwards in a closed state. We experimented with this on the bike.We took our bike down the small hill.Kept the gear free, facing downwards. So our bike started going down towards the top automatically. We enjoyed this place a lot. Thanks for Reading my Review carefully.

This place has a unique natural feature. It is claimed that vehicles roll uphill if put in neutral. I did not verify this. However, there is a narrow and shallow stream of water which flows uphill defying gravity. My kid put a metallic boat in the stream and it sailed up with the stream. Really interesting and a must-visit location in Mainpat. There are a few temporary shops over there selling sweet potatoes, sprout salads, cucumber, lai (puffed rice and jaggery laddoo) etc. One can enjoy few hours there.

Natural science 💯💯💯💯💯👈👈👈👈👈 Ulta Paani, also known as Bisarpani, is a unique natural phenomenon and tourist attraction located in Mainpat, Chhattisgarh, India. It's a gravity hill where an optical illusion makes water appear to flow uphill, defying the laws of gravity. This unusual occurrence draws visitors eager to witness the seemingly impossible and experience the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Mainpat, often called the "Shimla of Chhattisgarh," is a hill station known for its pleasant climate and natural beauty. Ulta Pani is one of its prominent attractions, alongside other spots like Tiger Point, Fish Point, and Mehta Point. The area is also home to a Tibetan settlement, where Tibetan refugees have established themselves, contributing to the local culture with industries like mat and woolen cloth production, and also building a beautiful Buddha temple. The "gravity hill" effect at Ulta Pani is caused by an optical illusion. The surrounding landscape and the slope of the road create an impression that the water is flowing uphill when it is actually flowing downhill, following the natural gravitational pull. This phenomenon is similar to other gravity hills found around the world, where the visual perspective plays tricks on the observer. Visitors can reach Ulta Pani by taking a turn about 5 kilometers before Mainpat. The road leading to the viewpoint is generally in good condition. While there, besides witnessing the "reverse flow" of water, tourists can also enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding area and the sunset. The area is accessible for vehicles, allowing visitors to drive right up to the viewpoint. Ulta Pani, along with other attractions in Mainpat, makes for a compelling travel destination, especially for those interested in unique natural phenomena and scenic beauty. 👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯 Beyond the Illusion: While the optical illusion at Ulta Pani is the main draw, Mainpat offers other attractions as well. It's home to a Tibetan settlement with beautiful Buddhist temples and craft centers producing items like designer mats and woolen clothes. The region also boasts ancient archaeological sites and is surrounded by the Kanker Wildlife Sanctuary, providing opportunities for nature walks and wildlife viewing. Conservation Efforts: The Ultapani Reserve Forest, which houses this unique phenomenon, is also part of the larger Manas Biosphere Reserve and is known for its biodiversity. However, it is facing threats from deforestation and encroachment by humans for agriculture and settlement. This puts pressure on the forest's ecosystem and the animals that inhabit it, including the Golden Langur and the Great Pied Hornbill. Therefore, conservation efforts are crucial to protect this valuable natural resource. Visiting Ulta Pani: To reach Ulta Pani, visitors typically travel to Ambikapur, the nearest major city, and then proceed to Mainpat. From there, a drive to the specific location where the phenomenon occurs will reveal the optical illusion. In Conclusion: Ulta Pani in Mainpat is a fascinating example of how our perception can be tricked by natural formations. While the water flowing uphill and the car seemingly moving uphill are optical illusions, they offer a unique and memorable experience for tourists visiting this part of Chhattisgarh. The region's natural beauty, cultural attractions, and the need for conservation efforts further add to the importance of Ulta Pani as a...

"Ulta Paani, Bisarpani" in Chhattisgarh refers to a traditional water conservation method that has been a lifeline for communities in the region. This ingenious technique involves capturing and channeling rainwater to recharge groundwater levels, ensuring a sustainable supply for agriculture and domestic use.

The phrase "Ulta Paani" literally translates to "inverse water," suggesting the reversal of the conventional flow. Bisarpani, on the other hand, conveys the concept of recharge. Together, these practices highlight the community's age-old wisdom in harnessing nature's resources.

In Chhattisgarh's arid landscapes, where water scarcity can be a significant challenge, Ulta Paani, Bisarpani has emerged as a beacon of hope. The method typically involves constructing small check dams, contour trenches, and percolation tanks to slow down and capture rainwater. These structures allow water to infiltrate the soil, replenishing aquifers and maintaining a more consistent water supply throughout the year.

Communities actively participate in the construction and maintenance of these structures, fostering a sense of ownership and community resilience. Ulta Paani, Bisarpani not only addresses immediate water needs but also contributes to soil conservation and prevents erosion.

In the face of changing climates and growing water stress, the adoption of such traditional practices becomes increasingly crucial. Ulta Paani, Bisarpani stands as a testament to the wisdom of local communities and their sustainable coexistence with the environment in...
