Damaru Ghati — Attraction in Chiraha Kalan

Damrughati is a very special place for Shiva devotees. Narmada river flows in Narsinghpur district and there are many such places in Narsinghpur district where you get peace of mind, one of them is Damrughati. Shakkar River flows near Damrughati, which makes the view of this place very beautiful. You can see this river coming from Gadarwara towards Damrughati. Apart from Damrughati, there are many other places in Gadarwara. Wherever you can go, but especially people come to Damrughati to have darshan of Lord Shiva.

Damrughati is also known as Shivdham. There is a huge black colored Shivalinga in this temple, which you can also see from Jabalpur Bhopal Highway Road. The size of this Shivalinga will be approximately 19 feet. This is one of the largest Shivalingas of Madhya Pradesh. A beautiful idol of Lord Shankar has been carved in this Shivling, which looks attractive. Apart from this, there is also a big idol of Lord Shiva in this temple. There is a huge statue of Nandi ji in front of the idol of Lord Shiva. You will get to see a huge Hanuman idol in the temple. Apart from the Hanuman idol, the idol of Lord Shani can also be seen here.

There are many shops in Damrughati to offer Prasad to Lord Shiva, where one can buy coconut, incense sticks, flowers etc. Apart from this, you will also find shops for tea and snacks here. There is good space for parking here. Parking fee is different for two wheeler and four wheeler. This place is a very good place for photography. You will get very good shots here.

It is a very peaceful and beautiful place. The Shivlinga and the Shiva idol are very huge and beautiful. Size of the shivlinga is about 19 feets and is one of the biggest shivling of Madhya Pradesh. There is a massive Nandi Moorti (Nandi is a divinely bull) too in front of the Shiva Moorti. It's size is at least thrice as of a normal bull. Everything is huge there. There is also a Hanuman Moorti nearby. It also has it's own aesthetic beauty. Besides the Hanuman Moorti you can also see a small Shani Moorti there. The courtyard is surrounded by Eucalyptus trees from the right side. There is also a shop for the offerings (coconuts, incense sticks, etc) and packaged fast food (potato chips, 'kurukure', Namkeen, water bottles, cold drinks etc) There is a lot of space for parking, but parking vehicles isn't free there. Charges are : ₹5 for two wheelers and ₹10 for four wheelers. There's also a handpump to drink water and to wash your feet (It's a custom to wash your legs before entering a temple.) Some ducks are also domesticated there. Beautiful architecture, huge shivling with shiva murti in dhyan 🧘‍♂️ awastha in front side of temple.. Very huge size of trishul 🔱 also there with damru.
