Ancient Stepwell, Mahimapur — Attraction in Daryapur

Every small town in India has its own distinct identity.Mahimapur is just like a common village,but located here is one of the ancient Archwell.This is the oldest surviving step well in Maharashtra.

In order to get rid of the water related problems,such kindaa wells were used to build. It's a deep four sided well,the basic architectural aspect of this well consist of a long corridor of steps leading to 7 story.

The design and structure of this well was intended to conserve as much water as possible.

Not sure about the count but villagers have confirmed that this Archwell has 12 doors and 88 steps.Story says it has been constructed...
