Dharkhora Waterfall — Attraction in Dhotra

It was a beautiful waterfall. If you wanna see the beauty of nature and feel the music of water..do visit this place. You will enjoy it. The rainy season is good to catch this movement and the best time is between 8am to 5pm. It's an amazing waterfall inside the Forest. It's located in the hills of Satpuda, in Madhya Pradesh state. Approximate 45min travel by walk into the forest, we reach the main Waterfall named as "Dharkhora". It's very amazing and beautiful and a little riskier. There are wild animals that are rarely seen. Good and adventure natural beauty place in the forest. This is an awesome place to be in the monsoon. We visited the place in August 2021. The waterfall is located about 2-3 Kms from the nearest village. This place is around 15km from the nearest city Paratwada in Amravati District of Maharashtra. One has to trek about 45-50 minutes while going towards the waterfall as it is uphill. While returning one could return in less than half an hour. Best for trekking experience through forest, thrilling walk. the best time is after the rain season, eg. august, september, october ......etc Nice waterfall is there. There is not even a sign board other than a small board fixed by the forest department. So identifying the entrance of this waterfall is bit hard. Two-wheelers and other vehicles have to park on roadside. The waterfall is in the forest area and we had to walk from after parking the vehicle. The waterfall is really an awesome sight, thick water cascading from the top in steps and the area was unpolluted, the water seemed to be fresh and it is a wonder that this waterfall is not very popular. Reaching the top of this waterfall may be dangerous because of the slippery rocks but we can walk through the forest path to the top side of the waterfall which was really thrilling. It is better to start back before the night falls since it may be difficult to reach the road without...

One of the favourite places in amravati...

Best place for a group/family outing. Situated away from all sorts of noise sources. Nice trek though one can get lost as it is through a forest. Recommended but a bit difficult trek route is to go along the river to reach the waterfall without getting lost. Bring an extra pair of clothes. Wear comfortable clothes and footwear suitable for trek as well as river crossing at some places though...
