Not a beach really. There is an abandoned dredger ship, 'Hansitha', which washed ashore on June 2016. It is an exceptional sight that such a large ship is so close to the beach. There are small ice cream vendors making a living out of this. No lifeguards or police surveillance since its not officially a beach. Good to spend some evening time. Also visit mayyanad beach which is just 2-3 kms south of this location.

Please don't go there to see the wrecked ship which is shown in most of the pictures here. The ship has been removed from there and now there is nothing special in the beach. You can go to enjoy the beach like all other beaches.. That's all.

The long Beach that's to the south of the Kollam beach. Cleanliness is above average and the road parallel to it needs work. There is also a ship that beached and is a rare sight everyone should check out.

After seeing the pictures, we were excited and rushed to the beach to see the ship. But unfortunately that ship was dismantled long ago and the beach is empty. There is nothing special about this beach, it's just another regular beach. Don't waste your time by going here in the expectation of...
