Lord Damodara is combined incarnation of Lord Shri Krishna [Yashoda Nandan] and Lord Vishnu [Vaasudev Krishna]...... Lord Krishna is the 'Original Bhagavan' from whom all 'other' Bhagavans manifested.... Lord Vishnu is the 10th expansion of Lord Shri Krishna (source : Canto 2 Shrimad Bhagavatham )....

Lord Shri Krishna FIRST appeared in Brindavan (which is replica of Brindavan in Goloka Brindavan in upper portion of planet Vaikunta (means a place of "no anxiety").....

Lord Krishna appears in "HIS ORGINAL FORM" in "one day of Lord Brahma (which is approximately 433 crores years)...... And in "all other times", Lord Vishnu appears as Lord Krishna....

But, whenever Supreme Bhagavan(Lord Shri Krishna )incarnates Himself, Lord Vishnu also appears to SERVE the Supreme Bhagavan...... So, it's Lord Vishnu who killed all the demons in Mathura and Brindavan..... Whereas Supreme Bhagavan 'never fights', and Lord Vishnu does all that job for Lord Shri Krishna.....

You can also refer "Chaitanya Charitamritha" for further details... because of 'Time & Space constraints' here more details avoided..... but, both are one and the SAME..... this minute difference was revealed by my Guru Maharaj Shrila Prabhupada who was an incarnation of one of the "Sakees" of Srimathi Radharani, who is the Supreme Creation of Lord Shri Krishna in ALL THE BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF BRAHMANDA put together.........

Shri Damodar Temple is one of the most beautiful and famous temple in Goa. It is supposed to be the most sacred place for Gsb konkani community. The temple stands on the bank of Kushawati River near the Zambaulim Village, just 22 km from the City of Margao in Soth Goa. It is said that Kushawati River is a sacred one place and that its healing properties help to get rid of different skin diseases. This famous Temple is dedicated to Damodar deity – the reincarnation of Shiva God. Here such Gods as Ramnath , Chamundeshwari , Mahakali and Mahesha are also honored and worshiped. Originally the Temple was built in the City of Margao, but in 1565 during the Portuguese Inquisition it was destroyed and a Church of Holy Spirit was elevated on its place. Darmodar is a place of worship for both Hindus and Catholics. The main festival celebrated in Shri Damodar Temple is called Shigmo. This is a Goa Hindu spring festival of colors, which lasts for one week only. I have been visiting this temple for almost 30 year's now and it really has improved leap's and bounds in it's service to the society. If one is looking at peace of mind and positive energy this is the...

This is a beautiful and historical temple located in Zambaulim, Rivona district on the bank of the Kushawati River. It belongs to the GSB community (Goud Saraswat Brahmins). It is located ~22 kms from Madgaon city. The temple houses a beautiful murti of Lord Shiva incarnated as Damodar lovingly called as "Dambab" by the locals, mahajans and kulavis. The deity was originally based in a temple in Madgaon (where the Holy Spirit Church now stands) and was the primary/main deity of Madgaon. It was shifted to it's present location in 1567 due to the temple destruction campaign started by the Portuguese rulers back then. The location is far away from civilization but it's calm, peaceful, serene and the natural beauty of the place is breathtaking. Affiliate deities of Shree Ramnath, Laxmi Narayan, Chamundeshwari, Mahakali and Mahesh are also situated within the temple complex.

A sacred and spiritual place, home for all kulavees of Shri Damodar, this temple is a must visit for those who want to be blessed, to find inner peace and find solution to whatever problem anyone might have in their life. Also know as "Raja of Goa", Shri Damodar, also called upon 'Shri Ramnath Damodar' is also the local deity of Margoa. Serene Kushavati river which flows behind the temple is absolute place to get bathed and experience higher state of purity. Pradakshina around the sanctum sanatorium is considered beneficial and 'Dambaab' recommends doing this. Place is known for glorious celebration - Gulal Utsav, Dussera and Kojagiri Utsav. To experience more, one should visit the place and get soaked into eternal bliss of Shri Damodar Maharaj. Jai Dambaab.

Shree Damodar Devae Namaha. One of my Kuldevtas and proud to be born Hindu, our culture needs to spread all over the world.
