Read moreShri Mahalasa Narayani Temple - Kuladevi for me - This is the original location of the temple, dating back to several centuries ago. Goa has seen conversion of artisan classes to Christianity during Portuguese rule and destruction of temples by Muslim and Portuguese monarchs, only some temples have managed to endure. The flight of deities in Goan temples during the 16th century due to Portuguese destruction is a significant historical event that resonates through time impacting nearly fifty temples in the 18th-century expansion of Portuguese territory in Goa.
