Aranya Udhyan — Attraction in Gujarat

Nice 1-2 day picnic spot located stone's throw away from Gandhinagar.

The park is located on Eastern bank of Sabarmati river.

Entry gate is located on IIT Gandhinagar road.

It is government forest park built with purpose to create awareness for wildlife and forest conservation.

Spots to see- Wetland lake- An ideal spot to watch aquactic birds.

Butterfly Park- A park dedicated to butterflies. It has many flowering plants that help breeding huge number of butterflies. A must visit for those visiting with kids. It also has a small pond and canal. Several articrafts serving as photography points.

Campsite- Has accomodation and food preparation area.

Apart from this there most of the land is just wild tropical vegetation.

The park is vehicle free zonw and any vehicles need to be kept at the entrance parking area.

Birds most commonly spotted are Ducks, Bats, Kingfisher, Vulture, Cranes, etc.

Neelgai is the animal worth mentioning.
