Eco Point Soldhara — Attraction in Gujarat

Soldhara is a nice and silent village 10 km from Chikhli town of Gujarat. My visit to Soldhara village was totally unexpected and unwanted for but as we reached there we found this exotic place.

Soldhara is a nifty village 10 km from Chikhli town of Gujarat. My visit to Soldhara village was totally accidental.

I dropped him at school and then had 3 hours to spare.

I saw a Google marker saying, Soldhara Eco Point. I was a bit amazed to see that marker, Eco Point in here?

So felt.....Let’s head on to Soldhara Eco Point and that was the time we actually reached Eco Point.

As I said, it’s rare to see such kind of developments in villages thanks to the local social workers, they maintained well.

Eco point is developed on edge of the lake. There is a boat in the lake too for boating. The boat has a very unique style of moving forward and backward....!

Lake has good walk way all the way round on its sides.it takes around 15 minutes to complete one round of walking through the border of the lake.

Along with walkway you can seat and relax to chill out. School children do come near Eco Point...

An experimental farm if Patel Family, they try to protect traditional knowledge and make experimental farming . One can visit this place with our children and introduced our children about the nature, animals, various type of fruits , animals , types of honey (yes, they collect almost 50 types of honey from various regions of india , in different session and honey from different flowers! The collected honey is also available fir purchase) The entry fee is Rs. 10/- but knowledge and experience what you and your family get is priceless . One can also enjoy traditional food, enjoy stay in wood house on top of the tree and little adventure sports for kids. The nursery is also good . Nice place for weekends.Has a boat made-up of drums and can travel across the pond from point a to b by pulling rope. Has a honey bee farming center where you can purchase honey of different flavors,has a local fish breeding center right inside the pond.The caretaker even sells cookies made of ragi.Has some ducks moving around freely and some rabbit inside cage.Had some pigeons and budgerigar also but now no more, instead has put up some nice butterfly and insect collection.one can even spot some butterfly around the pond. Has some old tribal kitchen utensils collection and a bullockcart on display.New attractions added recently a trampoline for kids, zip line for adults,couple of tree house,seasonal health drinks also available.Rope climbing also one of the attraction...
